I think this teacher has a lucrative lawsuit against the school district for violating her free speech rights. But if this is the path our educators want to go down, then they also need to fire any and all school employees who bad mouth Trump, Americans and America.

When an educator bad mouths or insults Trump or Americans, the schools almost always put out a statement along the lines of 'while the opinions of Mr X don't represent the values of our institution, we do recognize he has the right to state his opinion.' But when a person goes against what the institution believes in, then Mr X is fired.

    What do you guys think?

Sounds like the school board retaliated against a whistle blower.

    PROTECTION FROM WORKPLACE RETALIATION
Protection from workplace retaliation means that an employer cannot take an "adverse action" against workers, such as:

    • Firing or laying off
    • Blacklisting
    • Demoting
    • Denying overtime or promotion
    • Disciplining
    • Denial of benefits

I think if the sch dist had a policy of not inquiring as to citizenship of students or parents and not reporting on that, the guy was righteously fired, and he'll have trouble finding work in public education.

How do you know the teacher inquired about anything? Reporting crimes is everyone's responsibility, including yours.

Most schools have policies about protecting students. If the teacher violated policy, hopefully he'll never work in public education again. He could get a job in one of Kirsten Neilsen's child prisons though. (-:

if she is deemed a threat to the children of the school, she can be fired

Steps to having a Banana Republic where laws don't matter.
    1. Someone breaks the law where the government is involved. In this instance Public Education.
    2. The government employees either (a) facilitate the illegal act, (b) knowingly ignore it.
    3. An honest employee exposes the illegal activity
    4. Government bosses fire the whistle blower
Someone tell me where I missed here.

Let me fix that for you....

If she is deemed a danger to the children legally attending the school, she can be fired.

That seems far far more reasonable.

The teacher is no threat to the students. What a ridiculous thing to say.

it's federal or at least a precedent

    "Plyler v. Doe"

    https://www.oyez.org/cases/1981/80-1538

"Yes. The Court reasoned that illegal aliens and their children, though not citizens of the United States or Texas, are people "in any ordinary sense of the term" and, therefore, are afforded Fourteenth Amendment protections. Since the state law severely disadvantaged the children of illegal aliens, by denying them the right to an education, and because Texas could not prove that the regulation was needed to serve a "compelling state interest," the Court struck down the law."

from what I heard on the news, this is not the first school, she was in trouble in the past and they transferred her to a new school

though this school is like 80% Hispanic, so that prob only made it worse for someone like her - she should of just been glad she have a job and do her job and teach - jmho

what will she do now... no school is gonna hire someone like that

the teacher reported that there were undocumented students, just the same as the teacher should report students possessing drugs. It's all against the law. We can't look away, the problem is out of control.

    Wait... What?

Illegal Immigrants are "legally attending the school".

    That is actually your claim?

Let me explain to you what the word "Illegal" means.

il·le·gal - contrary to or forbidden by law, especially criminal law.

Their very presence on U.S. soil is not legal.

Apparently, Leftists pick and choose which laws to abide by.

in the past had this complaint

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/educ...d-up-illegal-students/?utm_term=.c710070d3f6b

"In 2007, Clark kicked a student, the review said, though an investigation determined it was “without malice.” In 2013, she was disciplined for referring to a group of students as “little Mexico” and called another student “white bread.” Those allegations proved to be true, according to the review."

"Last month, when one student asked to go to the bathroom, Clark told the student to “show me your papers that are saying you are legal,” a student told investigators in an account corroborated by another student."

how would she know their legal status anyways?
