Alright, you could argue that - but what if nothing happened on Jan 6? Would you not still be saying that Cruz and Hawley should be recalled?

Can't say I wouldn't be happy to see that happen. But I can't think of an argument to justify it.

I think we should add Louis Gohmert and Matt Gaetz to the list.

I would love that. But not for this. There was more of a reason last year, when Republicans voted to put their political interest before their country's by not removing Trump. Decision that cost a large portion of the 350 thousand lives due to Covid, and the life of 5 people on January 6. I hold them complicit for keeping a President that was clearly incompetent and a criminal. But that would be almost all Republicans in the Senate. Starting with Mitch McConnell.

    Different topic, though.

So the actions of Cruz and Hawley are only a problem if something specific occurs after their actions?

Or because there was nothing actually criminal, unlike Bill Clinton. I assume that you were also against the Democrats letting Clinton off. Or will you freely admit a double standard?

It's quite telling that you are unable to draw a line in the 350 thousand, the point at which it can be said that Trump is to blame for the deaths.

    Alternative to what?
"Criminal" has nothing to do with impeachment.

The alternative name for what Trump did. You seem to think that it is EXCLUSIVELY insurrection and therefore even Republicans such as Graham who have expressed disgust in Trump, must therefore believe that it was insurrection.

A criminal act is worse than a non-criminal act.

I'm sure that they would GLADLY host a campaign fundraiser for the Democrats who did the exact same thing in 2017!:roflol:

Do you give a free pass to the Democrats for doing the same thing?

They have a petition already signed by thousands of Missouri voters calling for him to resign.

So NOT for him to be recalled. Also, are you not familiar with the 'quote' feature on this forum?

I believe only 19 states allow recalls it varies state by state as to which offices can and cannot be recalled. What is the "quote" feature you mentioned???

I see now that the petition to recall Hawley which had over 20,000 signatures has been taken down as senators are not subject to recall.
