Sen. Tammy Duckworth responds after Tucker Carlson suggests she hates America

Tucker says she hates America? And how many legs did little Ttucky lose in service of the country? He must be like Trump, he likes the ones who didn't lose legs.

 

Note: What I'm going to say does not necessarily apply to Tammy. I don't know her and won't say if she does or doesn't hate America. I'm just pointing out a fact.

It is not uncommon for soldiers who have lost a limb, or multiple limbs, to hate the country that they served. Soldiers are known to blame the their government for the loss of their limbs. And some wear it with Pride. Some just simply exist.

So, saying that Tammy losing her limbs due to her fighting for America proves her love of America is not necessarily true. Some hide their hatred. Some express it. Some really do love America. Actions are what matters. Does she hold up the ideals that America is about? Or does she wish to change it? Is that change for the better? Or for the worse? Even if you have those answers, ones opinion on them will vary. Some will hate her for her choices, some will rejoice. That is human nature.

 

If she's smart she'll let this go. He savaged her twice and he was 100 percent correct.

Tulsi Gabbard has received zero bad attention by democrats for her military service. Dan Crenshaw was mocked by an SNL cast member who quickly apologized and invited Crenshaw as a guest on the show. Christy Smith was caugh on a private conversation disrespecting Garcia, and was promptly punished in the polls.

So you admit that Obama did mock McCain. Though you try and cover up the fact that it was widely known that McCains arm pains was due to his time spent as a POW and being tortured.

Cute how you specify that no one mocked her service. Well, Carlson didn't mock Tammy's service either. He just called her a coward. So, going by that any mocking of a service member is the bar here. Not you moving the goal posts to ONLY include mocking of military service. So, if we apply the same here to Tulsi your argument falls short of debunking what I stated.

And later on Pete Davidson (the SNL member who mocked Dan Crenshaw) admitted that he was forced to make that apology and that he didn't really want to. He was also mocked widely when he suggested that Rep Omar downplayed the 9/11 attacks.

Yeah, lost to a Republican by 5% percentage point difference. Meaning that plenty of Dems still voted for her. However she ran again in 2018 and guess what? She is now a California State Assembly member. That she lost in 2016 had nothing to do with her being "punished". It had to do with more Republicans turning out than Democrats. Which is why she won in 2018, because more Democrats showing up than Republicans.

And per usual Democrats excuse or downplay their own while lambasting Republicans.

Like I said, both sides do the same thing and yell at each other for the same thing. This is nothing more than faux outrage.

 

If anyone wants a near perfect distillation of the moral collapse of modern American Conservatism, this paragraph comes pretty close. It isn't about patriotism or principles, it is about rigid adherence to the diktats of the tribe. If you are in the tribe then it doesn't matter who you are or what you have done, you are a 'patriot'. If you are not in the tribe nothing you can do - including risking your life and suffering terrible injury for you nation - qualifies you as a 'patriot'.

It is no wonder these people are so enthusiastic about voter suppression & gerrymandering.

I guessed you missed or failed to grasp my reference in an earlier post to Benedict Arnold as an example of a person who was a hero and wounded in service of our country becoming a traitor.

Lastly, don't fool yourself. People who get elected to political offices regarless of service make moral compromises. Including Duckworth.

 

This is the ad. Please show me in anyway shape or form how that is disrespectful to McCain's service. That is how touchy republicans used to be about honoring Americans for their service. This was considered disrespectful of MCain's service.
Now we have millions of republicans cheering on Trump when he said that MCain was, and I quote "no war hero.... I like people who weren't captured" (followed of course by his implying that McCain was in hell 6 months after his passing)
Once again, no one disrespected Tulsi Gabbard's military service or said that she hated America. Saying that Tammy Duckworth hates america is disrespecting her service.
And of course the word swiftboatingwas created to describe what was done to Kerry.
No. Military service was considered sacrosanct to republicans, it clearly no longer is.

 

So tell us the terrible things she has done as an American.
Not vague, "she's a commie," bull ****. Actual, specific actions and legislation she has proposed that make her a horrible person and American.
