I can't see it anywhere on the news. I turned it on this morning and its still wall to wall about NZ.

 

Seems likely to be the first of many in retaliation. NZ shooter talked about Turkey in his manifesto and Erdogan has been going around to rallies showing the video in full.

I am surprised this seems to have verg little coverage.

 

As posted on another thread the latest news reports indicate the gunman was firing at members of his own famy. If confirmed this would mean the incident was domestic violence related not terrorist related.

True but give it a few days and the facts will become clearer. The shooter is in custody and those members of his family that were also travelling with him can be interviewed. It might still turn out to be terrorist related of course but if it was tit for tat over the NZ incident its an odd choice of targets and potential victims i.e. co-religionists.

 

Supposedly this guy in the past was being monitored for possible terrorist connections but his only offense may have been being a Turk. On the other hand, he may have killed a family member opposed to terror for all we know. To soon to say for sure but something is amiss for someone to kill a family member in public like that.

I think the initial reports of helicopters were wrong, this was in a city with overhead tram lines. Initial pictures they released did not look like you could land a helicopter there.

Helicopters are shock horror really dangerous, landing them in city streets is not recommended outside of Movies. Also cities are geared up for ambulances which have much better equipment in than helicopters. Holland is not hollywood.
