That was something, wasn't it? Gorgeous, and it was the blue moon the second one we have had this year.

I meant to explain something about Yesterday. An unbelievable
sight.Could, possibly have been a miracle. As I was on my weekly
now more like every other week Big City supply run to my Favorite
Liquor store and also favorite Grocer I witnessed something truly
remarkable.Near awe inspiring. As I left my Favorite Liquor store
which has a Lowest price guarantee and also best and biggest selection
of fine wines,I was en route to the grocer, about 15 minutes away.
That meant going thru heavy traffic.Especially since it was Saturday.
However it was before 11 am.I was stopped at a very busy intersection
with 4 lanes on my side and 2 on the other.I was saying to meself
how lucky I was to make it thru 4 red lights in a row.Only once in all me
    years { 3 decades } have I made all 5 red lights.As I dint make the 5th and was
waiting I saw something extraordinary.I saw a very large bird { I believe it
was a Crane } and it was acting as if a day in the park.No biggie. This
Crane was at the curb and attempting to cross this very busy Big City
Intersection.I quickly looked around to see what other vehicles were
    paying attention.There was No traffic approaching behind me { very odd }
and none at all on the other side of the road.I was about ready to get out and
flag traffic to make sure this large Bird { Crane } was able to go unimpeded.
I carefully watched from my side as this Bird who acted very casual just took it's
good old time and with small paddle feet just waddled from one side of the
road to the other. It never acted ruffled or in a hurry.Just plod sideways
with this look of casualness.Like I say ... Like a day in the park.
I literally felt like I was witnessing a very rare occurance.
The Bird slowly made it across both sides at this long traffic light
to the curb and grass. The weird part was more the traffic.Or lack thereof.
I don't believe I ever witnessed no traffic at all at this intersection.
Of course I've never seen anything like a bird attempt this.
Let alone a very large bird like a Crane.I don't believe there are any ponds
nearby that Intersection. There are at a few places in the Big city.
This was on a Saturday morning.I think I'm gonna call some
Forestry service and ask about this.Is this some peculiar quirk to certain
breed large birds.I think it must be.I know that is how Large birds and ducks
behave in almost all parks. They walk around, right up to people looking
    for bread or snacks.Very boldly.But this was the inner city { not a park }
    and a highly busy Intersection.

Remember ole SB, foolie? My crazy bosslady? She LOVED cranes. Nasty, smelly cranes. She had crane jewelry and crane statues and painted cranes on canvas. Thing was... she looked like a crane. Tall, skinny, long neck. Meaner'n hell.

Dont coddle cranes. Theyll nest in your hair and you'll go crazy. :crossbones:

    (Oh wait, thats bats... )

    Still..

I was very close to having escorted this Crane across the road,
personally. If that Bird somehow got hit by a vehicle,I would have
come close to going off.It would have added like 4-5 years to me
life.Yes,having eaten many a lunch in a park with large ponds,I know
ducks are very bold and also unkempt. They may look really beautiful
from far off,but up close they are rather gritty and soiled. But they are
God's creatures like the rest of us.Plus, they mean well.

When we lived in Central Florida, our land extended out into a marsh that had sandhill cranes nesting and visiting. A man who worked for the government would come out frequently checking the cranes. He told us some were migrants and some were non-migrants. It was interesting watching them one pair built a nest, and both parents tended the nest.

    If
If your big bird had a red spot on its head it was probably a sandhill crane they are migrating now.

No red spot.I would have noticed that.Does that mean they are
migrating back home from down south.? Which may explain as to
    their bearings.

Yes, they migrate back up north to Nebraska if they are the migratory cranes. Not all of them are migrants some live year round in the same place like the Florida sandhill crane.

Socrates had many enemies, most of whom had attended his school.

But ultimately the Athenians were afraid of the wrath of the gods if they did not execute Socrates for denying that the Greek pantheon of gods existed.

For dinner at 0130 AM -- I just got home from my swing shift at work --

    - leftover rice meatballs

    - noodles into it

    - fruity red Sangria wine

    - chased with 1 jigger of moonshine !!

TODAY is my FRIDAY. And now I have 4 days off. This is because I put-in so much overtime last week. The boss is giving me a break.

So I will spend tonight totally drunk, and fed, then I will spend tomorrow sleeping-off the hangover. I have no idea what I will do with the rest of the 3 days off.
