It is called a "Pest defender" the only problem is it is made in China but then again what isn't. It has the squirrels gone. It is supposed to get rid of rodents too. I am excited about that because in the fall when harvesting starts we get mice and rats in the barns. Aubie the cat can't keep up with getting rid of them. I hate rats, they are despicable.

Hope your power came back on before you ran out of charge. It is amazing how tied we are to our cell phones, When someone is on the computer I use mine for a computer.

    - Never on Sunday - { 1960 } Semi-wacky flick about Greek
floozie played to perfection by the sexy Melina Mercouri.Who kinda
talks funny but it shore beats wearing pink or purple hair and
having arms draped in sicko tattoos.
Not that the weather on sunday in California was anything to
write home about.Where Death Valley came close to breaking the
record as Hottest temp ever recorded. It hit 130.
    Maybe it's an Omen.
There are Good omen and bad omen.
Hot days and cold days.Sunny days and cloudy days.
Days where message board posters just as soon stay in bed.
Or watch as Mother nature gets testy.
Hot ... Splotch.I just as soon watch the Moon cry.
Or a Melina Mercouri movie on a Monday.

Rats and especially Mice are sort of a mystery.Especially for Car guys who
    like to buy or find old cars/trucks to fix up.Those little pests { not so much mice }
seem to have a remarkable talent for living inside old cars { engine
bay or under the car liner inside the vehicle }.They build their nests and pee/poop
all over the place. But they manage to live in that environment no matter the cold.
A Fellar could shore learn a thing er two about survival from a Mouse.
I had me a white mouse onced.

We'd die of heat stroke.. Took the kids up to the ghost town to go swimming in the creek (it's pooled up in areas) which we have to access by permission fo a landowner abutting the creek... they'd have none of it.. concrete kids! the moiss that had collected in the semi-stagant pools detered them from so much as dipping a toe! one of them cried and whimper th ewhole time.. in the meanwhile I cooled of much enjoyed in the cool mossy pool.. anoterh note.. 20 degree diferrence in temperatue over a mere 20 miles in distance back down the sun blasted valley! (85 degrees back to 105 degrees) SO we moved the cars out of the carport, set up a sprinkler that duaghter had bought for that use and fun was had by all.. and it was so much simpler than al that trip to the ghost town.

I knowed little old ladies like to use a doily they dollop with water
to pat down their face wrinkles when a heat wave passes thru
town.I ain't at that stage quite yet.
But gettin' thar.Maybe in about 10 years.
    Maybe s'not.

I bought my kids a cute mouse once he was light tan color with brown ears...looked like a Siamese type color. Put it in with the teddy bear hampster and he lasted no time. The hampster killed him right off. When I bought the hampster they told me he would only live 3 years..so not a problem. That hampster would have put Methuselah to shame. He lived way longer than 3 years.

Little field mice the kind house cats like to drag home and toy with
before killing have a lifespan of maybe a year.
Off hand I'd say about the lifespan of Miss Smarty at Allforums before
    she got too big for her britches { took to back sassin' }

Nightmare is over, power restored at 5 pm. 22 hrs. Yesterday was hottest day of yr so far... 104. Today only got to 90 so we were lucky... sort of!

Sleeping last night was impossible. Got a wet washcloth and put it on my neck. Finally fell asleep about 4 and woke up wet... and hot!

Bless William Carrier. And Thomas Edison & Tesla. Electricity is my new fav thing. :)

Well it wasn't a case of those at AllForums being privy to Miss
    Smarties best side.The Ironic part.
One of the Mods at that time managed to follow Smartie over
to PF.I think his Moniker was { Vilopagan } er something.
Plus if memory serves me,Miss Smartie and her Clique at
Yahoo were particularly cruel { Insensitive } towards me.
    Did I complain.NO! I just viewed it as ...
    It IS what it is.
