boy did I hit the nerve huh? And your claim is just that, a claim. Your posts lack any modicum of business knowledge and are more of party-line drone. That is why your claim was called out by me. Without revenue, how are you able to meet your obligations? Did you avail yourself to PPP and how did you find that process. I'll play along and let's see if you can speak to a fellow business owner

Based on posts from the "let's keep everything locked up until a vaccine is found" crowd it is clear they have no idea what it is like to own and operate any business let alone their own. I have been around a long time and have many friends that own small to medium sized business and every one of them is spending every minute of every day trying to get things up and running in any way they can to avoid losing employees and their lifelong investment.
I will re-state this lockdown BS will end the day all government employees lose their pay and are laid off indefinitely.

Now wait a minute. If an employee is asked to come back to work and he refuses you’re allowed to fire them for cause. At that point as the employer you can contest their unemployment filing

I don't care what happened with that $ in the gangster's paradise that is Washington DC.

When it comes to $, all I know is that the amount that cannot be accounted for in Pentagon coffers is approximately equal to the national debt.

I can't speak for him but both employers and employees are being financially supported by the government. (or themselves depends how you look at it). If I was an employer, and I was for decades, I would be leery to start back up without some solid evidence I could churn a profit or at least breakeven. Spending is down and will probably remain down for a several months. Keeping employees paid is the most expensive things a small business does(for the most part). I imagine you have a lot of business owners on the fence wanting to watch how this plays out. Some business are calling it quits now, they see the writing on the wall, their business wasn't successful enough prior to the shutdown it's too big of a risk to re-open.

Unemployment, much like SS, is not socialism. It's insurance. Paid for by the employee and the employer.

But you know that, deflection and "gotcha" are the games of children.

You do realize that supply chains are completely breaking down, right. Out here in the Midwest, farmers not farming doesn't come with repercussions for several months or quarters.

When you feel "safe", hopefully those shelves at the store aren't empty or you are going to see real panic.

And you can document this "farmers not farming" claim?

So...socialism is only socialism if you disagree with the exact policy?

And there's lots who'd just as soon collect more money not working than working.

You're claiming there are not people making that much in tips in a month? You don't seem to realize how much someone can make in a good restaurant.

How are people supposed to do that, without spending?

Spending is the last thing we should be doing.

Unfortunately, we're seeing a lot of people say just that. Literally .. they're 'tired of being stuck at home'. Perhaps if folk didn't keep mentioning that aspect (which affects all of us), and instead talked only about their concerns regarding financial security, we wouldn't have the impression that boredom is their only issue.

Because it's spending which put so many working and middle class people into insolvency when the SHTF.

Spending is always the problem. I would hope that this crisis has taught people to give it up, and save save save instead.

Sorry missed that part. How do you know how much he's getting from the government?
