The one that's coming in about 7 years. When Jesus reigns Supreme and rules the world with an iron sword. There will be total peace and justice in the world finally. I can't wait.

I hit like by accident but upon reflection I DO like your post. #1 you wont be there for the coming theocracy and, as a human, I am glad. When I am perfect I wont remember you anyway.

That anyone would arrange any part of their life around this kind of ridiculous nonsense is just sad.

I answered "buddhism". Although obviously it is NOT a religion based on a God, but a philosophy of life based on respect of all creation.

Which may be exactly the reason why it is more appealing to me than ANY religion!

The concept of each deity is the same... Buddhism is an antithesis of MOST religions. Judeo-Christian beliefs subscribe to an eternal selfish. Buddhism aspires to the ultimate act of selflessness... to detach from the self as many times in as many forms as necessary until you become part of the eternal... or the Borg in my language.

They are both equally wrought with logical problems... but I wish you all the best.

And yet, you like to go around calling yourself a Christian, and calling out others for not being Christian enough.

How do you presume to know when the Almighty will bring about the End Times? Only God knows when this will occur.

Erm..."Judeo-Christian beliefs subscribe to an eternal selfish"? How do you figure that? Jesus taught that sacrifice was most important in living your daily life. What is selfish about giving your life so that others may live?

You do realize that the Bible was literally ripped off from Sumarian text don't you?

    Its hardly original at all.

Well, there's this Book God gave to us called the Bible. In it God gave us prophecies to watch for and signs of the times. If you read, and study prayerfully, the Bible prophecies, you will know almost exactly what is coming and when, sometimes knowing the actual day. Check one out at your local library and get involved in a Bible study group and you, too, can learn the truth. But I bet you won't. ;)

Nothing to prove. Its literally the same story with a few variations. Even the world ending by flood was first written by the Sumarians. Adam and Eve, different names of course, Sumarians came up with it first.

Do a little research and get back to me.

I believe your in for quite a shock.

I dont have to Ken, The world will never end with a flood. In fact, in 7 years the seas will dry up and we will have a water canopy again, as we did before the flood. So give me the proof that the Sumerians didnt copy from the Bible? I'd welcome seeing it. Darn, I was really hoping to be shocked my friend.

Well the proof would be that the Sumarians lived about 4000 years before the Old Testament was written.

The Old Testament was completed around 450 B.C.E.

Sumarian text, the oldest known writing in the world and where the biblical stories come from, is dated to the 4th millennium. That would be 4000 B.C.E.

About 3500 years earlier then when the Old Testament was written.
