I'm watching republicans turn into whiny liberals, before my eyes, in real time.

For years, we watched the liberals turn into whiny children who complain about everything. Now, they are starting to look like the adults in the room.

It's getting bad. My list is below. I'm sure there are more ways that these so-called conservatives are anything but.

Where is the party of low regulation, upholding the constitution & upholding contracts? Isn't it bad enough that they've abandoned all their core Christian values, by supporting Trump?

What I've seen from "conservatives," just in the last two days:

Nanny state - big daddy government regulation over business decisions

    - Force social media companies to host content they don't want to host
    - Force hotels to stay open, even if the hotel believes it is unsafe to do so

    Hatred of contracts

    - Trump shouldn't be held to the contract he signed years ago, because it was signed a long time ago

    Constitution issues

--Judges appointed by Trump should be loyal to Trump, not the constitution
    - Wanted the SCOTUS to get involved in a state's rights issue

    Election stealing

    - All pro Trump governors, secretaries of state, and Trump appointed judges have all turned democrat

I hate to be that guy, who asks you to source what your talking about, but going down your list I expected these to ring a bell. None of them do, and these are all things that happened in the past 2 days?

This sounds like it's a content free thread to bash Republicans. Good thing you are filling the vital need for those sort of threads here.

Guy thinks Republicans are a bit squishy on things lately and so he starts a thread about it. What's not to like about that?

Thread about Trump not being able to move to Mar-A-Lago because he signed that contract, like, a really long time ago. Borat said that

Trump appointed judges should be loyal to Trump -Dutch said that

In the thread about the Proud Boys hotel shutting down; several want the government to force them to open because it's discrimination

There have been hundreds of post about government controlling social media. It's being currently discussed in the thread about it being added to the $2,000 check bill.

The SCOTUS issue is a few weeks old, but many many republicans on this forum were excited for them to invalidate ballots.

    Did I miss anything?

Just two governors and the courts haven't supported either Trump or the constitution.

    LOL.

SCOTUS getting involved in a decision that solely belongs under state purview, would be the violation. The very conservative court did what a conservative court must do. They giggled.

Sounds just like something Don Lemon, Brian Stelter, or Rachel Maddow would tell people to think. And so, that's what a lot of people think. Shrug.

I do agree that the GOP is not the party it was 5 years ago. It is greatly improved.

    I see.

So you are okay that both parties like lots of regulation on the free market.

    Sigh.

I'll never get the small government I want.

If you voted for Biden, you never wanted a small government so no need for a charade now.

Well, in other news, he should be applauded for putting it in the PO&B section (where such threads are allowed).

Instead of cluttering up the Current Events section.

I am sure that we can expect to see the return of the GOP "Deficit Hawks" once Biden takes over.

Apologies Borat. It was fmw who hates contracts. You were merely calling democrats whiny babies for wanting to hold him to the contract.

PS: When' you stop calling me a lefty, I'll stop calling you a republicans.

Well then, Biden is a big loser. Joe Biden is known to brag about imaginary accomplishments, demand that everyone praise him, and he throws fit if a reporter asks a tough question. We get 4 more years of that, PLUS bigger government. 47 years in government: We know Joe. Some of us do, anyway.

You voted for violent thugs who looted, rioted, burned the country, dehumanized the opposition, illegally spied on a political campaign, ran a hoax-based witch hunt, resorted to censorship and suppression of information, politicized impeachment, violently attacked people for merely disagreeing with their rigid intolerant ideology.....

It's psychologically tempting to justify your wrong decision by lying to yourself that the alternative was worse. Any psychiatrist will confirm this.

Oh, lol, you totally distorted the context of what I said, whiny libs referred to the libs whining about that petty non-issue, not to the residents of Palm Beach whose party affiliation and legal merits I have absolutely no idea about.

It was an issue for Trump, and I live right here; a few miles from his club. His fun fights with the county have been epic. I've agreed with him on a couple of them. I didn't see a big deal about his huge flag, and he was good to get them to allow blacks & jews into country clubs.

Now they told him no, he can't live at Mar-A-Lago. Some republicans got a bit butt hurt about that.

Nah, Who created that petty thread btw, not a republican I suppose lol. if libs did not whine about this non-issue incessantly, the republicans would not have even known there may be an issue in Palm Beech.
