I am Swedish and 70 years old. You don't know what you are talking about. Socialist Democrats are Socialists with strong leaning towards the Democratic element. Cars are cars. White cars are still cars. It seems as though you do not know the subject very well and are overly oriented upon labels and not enough on political philosophy.

I was born and raised in Sweden. I'm in America now as an exchange student. I've been here in Nevada a year. Has my home country turned socialist in my absence? I don't think it has.

I wish we were as socialist as your country. UNR or UNLV?

We have capitalism in Sweden. Production is controlled by individual people, not the government. Our government takes a lot in taxes and spreads it around but that tax money isn't coming from community or government run businesses. It's coming from successful privately run businesses.

That's not socialism! That's capitalism with really high taxes.

So? America has the same programs. You just don't tax as much and give out as much, percentage wise.

But anyone can buy stock in corporation and vote on corporate matters, like CEO pay and compensation.

On average, 70% of stock is owned by corporate heads: CEOs and Boards of Directors and top officers. So your vote on 200 shares of XYX stock is so diluted as to offer you no control. And if that isn't enough, think of when you ever heard of middle class shareholders determining a vote and thereby running the company.

But regarding socialist and collective and quarreling over it, the determiner is in whether those getting rich off the stock is comprised of the corporate elite, or the middle class shareholders.

Corporations are in essence privately owned for private profit. Any attempt to label publicly-held corporations "socialism" is an attempt to argue over nonsensical false fantasies. Even such a person knows it is not socialism.

That is true in Sweden. Olaf Palme was murdered (presumably in a joint CIA & SÄPO operation) and with him died the Socialist element of our government and Sweden. But then that was the reason for murdering him in the first place, to silence our superior way of life. Since his death, Sweden has been steadily moving closer and closer to being a lap dog for the US, losing our Socialist and Democratic advantages.

Olaf Palme was assassinated specifically so that eventually Swedish children could be pro-American brain-washed into believing bull crap just like what you said. It is no surprise that you were sent to the US to go to school. Jävla skit.

That's entirely possible. Also possible it's just a game of semantics. We both know what our country is about, we just use different terms to describe it.

Is that so? Well then their plan is working very well. I really like America. I'll always love Sweden more yet I can see myself living in America long term because of the career opportunities it provides.

I think it's enough now. You don't realize it but you are not representing Sweden, the country, or the people. You are simply saying what Americans want to hear. Yes! You believe it! That's why your parents sent you to the US instead of a European country. You are being groomed. You don't understand anything about Vietnam or Grenada, or Cuba, or Irak. When the US was claiming false proof of WMD's in Irak you might not have even been born. When Obama and Hillary Clinton were shouting for war with Russia you were eating American propaganda in the school cafeteria. OBS! I am not blaming you. You do not have the experience or opportunity to see the world and its people. The crap you speak of are not your own words. They are the words of American globalists and American children who are born and weened on American misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, and lies. You are a victim of well-planned political treachery. How could you possibly think in any other way than what you wrote? You cannot.

Was I supposed to? I thought I was a girl going to college in a fun far off place. I wasn't aware I was supposed to represent Sweden on the world stage.

Not over in the Planned Parenthood thread I'm not. I think some of them want to light my hair on fire!

I chose America because I grew up following its culture and politics. My parents wanted me to go to a country with less guns. They think everyone in America walks around like a cowboy.

You're right. Is there a reason I should?

I'm 20 and I'm in the world's most powerful country seeing its land and it's people so I'd say it's a good start towards experience.

Is this well planned treachery coming from the Freemasons, the Illuninati, Scientology, the New World Order, Citigroup, Dick Chaney, Halliburton, Google, the Vactican, Bilderburg, Wal-Mart, the Knight's Templar, the United Nations, the Trilateral Commission, the Knights of Malta, the Zionists , the Lizard People, Space Aliens or the
    Säkerhetspolisen?

I'd like to know who to send a thank you letter to :)

Treachery is a bit strong, but I'm guessing he remembers, or knows of, the extensive FBI/CIA efforts of social subversive, sabotage, and just plain old propaganda. Then there are the private very well funded network of organizations that manipulate the public. Much of its techniques are taken from the advertising industry, and the election industry.

If you are interested in some of this, I would read about Edward bernays, or maybe read the book "Toxic Sludge is Good for You" for an appetizer.

Buy a nice refreshing can of ice cold candy? That's a good example.

Even better, how Bernays convinced American women that smoking was cool. It was not socially acceptable before.

Or something I only know a little of, which is the CIA funding liberal writers and magazines in the 50s, 60s. Most of the time they wrote and published what they wanted, but if a certain story, or person was needed to be blocked...well if someone paid you regularly, or gave you seed money for your magazine, and one day asked you to print a slanted article? All the more effective if the writers/magazines were almost always honest.
