People should not drive while impaired by any substance nor should they drive when impaired by lack of sleep or illness. (Sorry bosses, your workers shouldn't come to work sick and shouldn't be working excessive overtime.)

Stoners who claim their drug is okay to drive on are just wrong and need to stay put until their high wears off.

On those grounds let us outlaw alcohol as well. And over the counter cold medicine that states plainly on the bottle that it may impair driving.

In this age of ontological insecurity, liquid modernity and social exclusion, many of us are always at the cusp of poverty. Attempts at bifurcation shifts the locus of responsibility even more towards state control.

Before state programs like unemployment insurance, social assistance, old age pensions, disability insurance, socially-excluded people had to beg. Perhaps to give them more dignity, or maybe just accepting that the problem existed, we created social safety nets to fill in the gaps where Church and community were unable to help.

These social programs have solidified and become an accepted part of our society. Helping the unfortunate is nothing new, but the desire to punish them for their lack of consumerism is. our consumer culture.stigmatizes those who don't pull their own weight. Ironically, this can make finding employment even more difficult.

Not true at all. The handout demographic is strong democrat. We have democrats in the south you know. They run all of our most dangerous cities.

The reason so many are living paycheck to paycheck despite higher them ever earnings is because of the burdens places on them by the state. For every worker now there is also a dependent.

seems that most US unions are run mainly by Latinos etc. so that explains the bias - plus Obama is an African immigrant - hardly good for the white man

    good luck to you all:fingerscrossed:
