Following a court ruling, Broward Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes had illegally destroyed ballots from a 2016 congressional race, the governor’s office announced the Florida Department of State sent election experts to Snipes’ office during this year’s election “to ensure that all laws are followed” and “to observe the administration of the election.”

Snipes says the extra scrutiny is undeserved.

Even beyond her own reprimand for authorizing the destruction of ballots, Snipes cannot deny the department’s patchy track record. In 2016, early voting results for Broward were posted a half hour before polls closed, in violation of election law.

Broward County now is under a recount in one of the closest elections in the state for Governor but somehow Snipes has discovered over 80,000 democratic votes that were not counted in the general election.

Neither Scott nor the POTUS who have made the accusation of voter fraud in Fla have offered any proof. Of course POTUS T had never come forward with any proof that there was fraud in the 2016 election but that did not stop him from making constant accusation of fraud. There was the Kovacs fraud find commisionand what did they find- no fraud!.

The overnight emergence of 80,000 Democrat uncounted votes would be a pretty good indicator. This isn't a one time occurrence. This has been going on in Broward county for over 20 years. The Governor lead of 90,000 where Gillum actually conceded has now decreased to 15,000 and Gillum recanted on conceding.

Tim Canova, an independent candidate for Congress who lost to U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, this year, previously lost to her in a 2016 Democratic primary. He sued to see the ballots from that primary in March 2017, and Snipes ordered the ballots destroyed in September 2017, signing a certification that no court cases centering on the ballots were pending. Under federal law, those ballots were required to be kept 22 months after the election. Instead, Snipes had them destroyed after 12 months, the time they have to be kept following state elections.

Broward county has been the hotseat for election tampering since 2002. An easy search will provide plenty of historical law suits, violations, firings, and misrepresentations.

Governor Scott is being interviewed on the networks. He states Broward County won't reveal where the 80,000 votes came from and it is evident Democrats are trying to steal the election.

Relax... you are way off... Broward is done counting and the results are now within recount range...

However, if the Broward discrepancy on the Senate Race is due simply to people missing that voting section on the ballot, that's too bad...

I was just parroting what Scott was telling the media. If this was just a one time occurrence it wouldn't be such a media event but it has been SOP in Broward for quite a long time and for some crazy reason these continuing problems in Broward always benefit Democrats. How is that possible? If it were just a ballet issue wouldn't it closely model the actual voter tally of record?

Seems way to obvious. 80,000 votes found for democrats? Hmmmm

You have no idea if ALL of the 80000 votes favor Democrats, but yes, it's likely that the majority of any uncounted votes will...

Separately, the speculation is that many people in Broward didn't vote for the Senate race, because they missed that section on the ballot... You'd have to assume that would give additional votes to Nelson, but that's tough, UNLESS for some reason their is a machine issue in certain sections of Broward. Since the vote is close enough to generate an automatic recount, that discrepancy will be found.

The sky is NOT falling, Mr. Little....

I am only stating what has been uncovered thus far. The Gov race went from over 90K vote lead to under 15K. How do you think they got there.

I don't disagree with anything you are stating. Its the fact that this polling station in one of the bluest parts of Florida has been in contention with every election since 2002. Why so problematic?

Uhh... Uncounted votes for 600, Alex?? And where are you coming up with 90K?? From your own URL,

It’s already narrowed since election night, when Scott initially declared victory with a 56,000-vote lead.

I don't know... and you need to go back to their biggest hit, the 2000 election... It's HUGELY problematic, and heads should roll in this county (again) after this is over unless there is a good explanation... But until you have evidence of some sort of election fraud (and this is to the bigger YOU, not just you), I would keep my arrows in my quiver...

I also don't know there has been a problem in "every election since 2002"... you'll have to back that up someday...

Florida is governed by the GOP and the Secretary of State who was hand picked and appointed by the governor runs state elections. Now if he did a piss poor job, as is the habitual case in the state of Florida, then you wind up with piss poor results.Whether it be hanging chads or lost ballots, Florida manages to screw up every election that comes it's way.

The Secretary of State does not run the elections. County officials run the elections.

I read you loud and clear and your right. I get very aggravated as well when people make uncorroborated claims for point making.

I was referring to the history of election problems in Broward county and its history dating back to 2002.
