Somebody lost, and that was dems, the longer it takes the better it is for Republicans. Liberals are emotion based creatures, they don't have the attention span to remain interested until June. Nor will Hollywood continue to fork over millions, which is in fact the only reason this loser liberal Osshoff had any chance at all...

Agreed. Those are pretty good numbers for a 30 year old.
As for the cost involved.........That's not really so bad is it? It wasn't my tax dollars.
Not too long ago, we spent about 8 times as much to blow up an airfield, that was back in use 2 days later.
That was proclaimed as a victory. And that WAS my tax dollars. Money well spent, eh?
The tribal nature of this site continues to be a major source of enjoyment for me. ;)

lol your taxes don't pay for hardly anything, despite your grandiose opinion of that little token bit of chump change you toss in the kitty every once in a while.

The reason that Osshoff has a chance is because Republican turnout plummeted while Democratic turnout ticked up a bit.

And again, I realize that the right-wing has alternative definitions for many words, but how does anyone with 1/2 a brain call moving on to the runoff as a "loss" for the Democrats?

Does the right-wing media mention that Osshoff got almost 3 times the votes that the main Republican candidate got? I doubt it.

Well, I've paid quite a bit in taxes since the early 70's.
I actually have a total of State, Federal, and city.
If, as you state, it's just a pittance, then the government should give it all back.
That would either make me a republican like yourself or a corporation.
Come to think of it, some of it most likely went to you in some form of aid. ;)

Highly doubtful you pay much; you just like saying you do on the inernetz. State and local taxes don't go for Tomahawks, and neither does most Federal spending. you likely don't even do your own taxes, just pay some electronic filer $75 so you can get your $200 refund back two weeks earlier.

It still would not be near as embarrassing as Obama losing kennedy's seat. That was truly a ground swell move that started the glorious republican run.

Can you name me an election in this, or any other century, where the stated goal was anything different?

Celebrate your victories, no matter how small.

Ossoff ads already plastered on the TV again, nearly every commercial. People will get POd at this and it will cost him. Whoever gets out and pounds the pavement more like Trump did is going to win this one.

Ossoff did pretty well with 48% of the vote with second place getting 19% and you left out that Republicans spend 3 million against him. Also he is running in a district that was gerrymandered by Republicans for democrats to lose and voted for a republican representative by a 62-38% margin in 2016. Also him not getting 50% means he will compete against the #2 choice in a one-on-one election.

Now tell us how well the Falcons played in the Super Bowl....that is equally meaningless.

As long as the republicans keep winning I'm okay with letting the democrats chirp about their "almost wins" and how these almost wins mean this or that doomsday scenario for the republicans or for Trump. Let them have all the participation trophies they want.

We'll just keep taking the winners cup.

Did I mention that I'm not tired of winning yet?

The democrats are like a poker player who loses $500 with the second best hand and then brags that he came in second.

In politics, poker and the Game of Thrones, there is no second. You win or you die.

Definitely not where I thought you were going with this. Getting twice as many votes as the next contender and going to runoff is not a loss at all. It's a draw at worst. Like going into overtime. Partisanship makes people idiots.

It is not meaningless if democrats start becoming competitive in previously safe Republican districts.

Their 'Party' is in shambles and the media campaign to cover that up is failing miserably. The big media organizations need to be honest and re-file as political lobbyists; they aren't genuine news corporations any more, they're Party operatives for the Democrats.

Spicer makes me chuckle all the time.

People like to say the Kings of Comedy was on of the best stand up shows.

too bad Bernie Mac didn't live to see his record smashed by the Repubilcans of Comedy

this is the best show on earth in history. I love it.
