    Textbooks are the biggest college scam out there. These professors write text books and then teach from them. The next year you'd think you could pick the book up second hand for 1/2 price or better. Sorry. The professor changes a chapter or a few lines, reprints it as a new edition and then requires his new class to purchase the new edition.
