As a reasoned, rational person, he is unlikely to allow his personal tragedy to change his position on much of anything, other than to reaffirm his belief that, most of the time, the best, if not only, way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

I'm friends with many pubs/cons...much to the disgust of certain other pubs/cons. That's why my sig says wiggle and giggle. A female con here hated that. I caught her talking **** about me elsewhere.

 

People get irate over the R or the D, but I believe someone pointed out earlier that they are largely irrelevant. One can be a republican but be a liberal ideologue - party platform only matters when it comes to the election season.

I try to use ontheissues.org when elections roll around to see who has voted for what. I never use the dreaded "All r/Alll d" button.

Scalise is a horrible demagogue when it comes to the pro-life movement, so I can see why a lot of leftists would automatically disagree with him, but some of his stances are decent. I mean. He wants to disengage from policing the world, he voted to work with India as an armed nuclear power, etc.

I highly suggest that everyone use this to check out who they plan to vote for, and not follow an ideologues checklist.

So in other words, nobody here wants to have a serious debate/discussion about an issue, no matter who brings it up and what's said. It's all about partisanship and past posts. Not encouraging. At all.

People do all the time. Some here do not want to at all. They come from both sides, but I will say, the loudest of them come from the left, and have a lot of posts.

I would believe that anything coming from certain posters here have a partisan reason. They have just posted too much to believe otherwise.

The best tool I've found here is the ignore button. I also tend to scroll past some things that I know aren't worth the time to read or respond to.

I didn't know we "identified" with each other. I don't care for much of that poster's politics, but unlike the screaming throngs of Trump fans who go insane because I left the reservation and didn't vote for the Democrat they decided to vote for, that poster isn't making untrue accusations about me constantly. As most of you do.

Trump fans won the election, and act like they lost. When Bush won twice, i was happy. I guess I'm not filled with and consumed by hate and hysterics.

The left has actually been far more decent to me than the Trump supporters, even though the left knows I vote straight party ticket Republican, with one exception. Donald Trump is the first Republican Presidential candidate I didn't vote for, since I first voted in June of 1980.

 

Of course I am. I receive so much of it on a daily basis I'm inclined to return it to it's rightful owners.

Well the OP's daily posts does make one question the motives behind the thread. Perhaps if the daily posts were not so hatefilled toward those she doesn't like the motive of this one wouldn't be questioned? Or have you not seen it with posters you like? And please spare us the 'well you should've seen what was said to us back then' excuse for excusing the one's you like. Because that happens here daily, too. I joined here with a bunch of people from another board a few years ago, but only made a couple of posts. I came here originally because of Perotista. I was a staff member on a very large political message board which kept me busy for the last 4 years or so. I don't approve of Trump at all. I make no secret of that. I never did, and at this rate, I never will. I was a Rubio girl. I'm hoping Kasich is actually the GOP nominee (not Trump) in 2020. Doubtful they will me as accommodating to me when that happens but I don't really care. I come here to voice an opinion, not join in circle jerks.
