I started that thread. We are born as men or women. If for some reason we become confused about that, then the cure isn't to cross dress or get a sex change. It's to address the root cause. This is utter nonsense

 

I thought the girl's basketball team was way too dominant this year.

The other school's team must be a little disgruntled when a bunch of six foot tall black lads wearing blonde wings show up on the court!

 

In all that article, I didn't see any quotes from the kids who actually go to the school. Has anyone asked them what they think?

 

No, the article clearly states that the parents who OBJECT to this rule say that children will be obligated to "affirm" this behavior. So are you arguing that children should be ALLOWED to bully, harass, or harm transgender children with whom YOUR kids disagree are a girl or boy?

I understand how many Righties still want to maintain the current long term status quo where children have tacit permission to assault children for "inappropriate gender expression", just like the Righties presidential candidate whose gang assaulted and cut off the hair of a boy who Romney decided "looked like a girl".

THAT is what you are defending - the culture of blatant cowardly assault, humiliation, cruelty and evil of the idea that YOU have "permission and sanction" to decide what SOMEONE ELSE's life should be.

What the rule says is that kids will be required to RESPECT a child's expression of their gender.

Indeed, children need STANDARDS.

And that standard should be YOUR CLASSMATE has a RIGHT to THEIR OWN LIFE, Keep your jerkwad, bullying, scumbag opinions to yourself!

These rules ARE commonsense and organic parenting. Your ideal of sanctioned abuse is simply perpetuation of evil.

We now well know that this isn't true. Move to a Sharia Law country if you want to live in the 14th century.

This behavior is "typically resolved after puberty", in many cases, by suicide, depression, homelessness, besides the many kids with gender issues who simply just drop out of school. The behavior and feelings are there and don;t go away whether "affirmed" or not by the people who think they have a right to control OTHER people's lives!

 

Awesome! I wish they had this when I was in school. I'd be female during gym class so I could use the girls' changing room and showers and then male again the rest of the day. Technically, according to their own rules, they couldn't stop me from doing this.

A very important "guideline" and "structure" to give students is to treat ALL of their classmates with respect.

Ya gotta wonder about Righties who seem obsessed with checking out other people in a bathroom. How do you guys do that, anyway? Slide around under the stalls on your back? Put mirrors or cameras on the tips of your shoes and stick your foot under the partition?

Or is it a Larry Craig sort of thing where you play footsie to send messages to the guy in the next stall by tapping, and you would be disappointed and feel led on to find out id is someone without a penis?

 

These mental cases need extensive psychological treatment, not a new school policy to allow them to indulge their mental illness.

 

The lockerroom and showers is where bullies have regularly enjoyed raising bruises and drawing blood from "males" who the bullies considered "inadequately masculine".

Since kids being attacked in the shower already happens NOW, the current system does not seem to be doing a good job..

 

Forcing the students to accept another student into their restrooms and showers just b/c the guy thinks or wants to be a girl is just plain WRONG.....

So one kid's tho'ts, feelings, desires, wishes is more important than a group of girls who's using the shower together?

Kids should be taught to respect others who are different, but they shouldn't be expected to share their most private and personal time w/him.......

25 years ago, I pulled my daughter out of school in MA because of BS like this, quit my job & moved the hell out of that liberal cesspool.

 

No one takes showers at school anymore. Just like schools have kids who have who are smelly, retarted, look weird, etc... they arent allowed to be teased so I dont see why transgender students should be teased.

Where did you from point A (kids who might feel uncomfortable sharing a bathroom) to point B harassing and bullying these kids? Do you have that little faith in children? If so, why do you trust children to know they are a whole other gender at that age?

Isn't that what the adults in these kids lives are doing? Interpreting for the rest of their lives that they are transgender? How do kids know this? How aware were you of what it is conceptually to be male or female at this age? It's not allowing them to go through the normal sorting process of feelings and emotions.

Society is brutally telling them that if they feel X they are X, as though humans aren't a myriad of things. There are bisexual people, as well as, straight or gay people...perhaps "transgender" is just something beautiful, unique and special and we're boxing it up to fit OUR labels.

Psychology is a soft science. The study of transgenderism is not yet a hard science. In a few centuries when they discover there is a "third" gender and sex and find that we brutalized young bodies and minds to make them "fit" into Box A or Box B it maybe YOU who is the tyrant and your ideas "medieval".

Because the world doesn't appreciate them AS THEY ARE and because they believe they have to change what they are because of gender constructs that we've said in every other circumstance--including warfare now--that DO NOT EXIST.
