Those on the Left who support Biden's move keep insisting "this is only temporary and the price of oil will soon go down".

But when it doesn't, I expect to hear crickets on this forum, and none of these people will take responsibility for being so wrong.

So typical of the mentality on the Left to raid the piggy banks. "delayed gratification" is apparently a foreign concept. Spend it all now! Worry about paying for it later!

Which companies are selling American strategic oil reserves overseas?

I'm pretty sure if it's coming from our strategic reserves, the government has total control of where it goes. Now this will be raw oil and some of the big oil companies will have to refine it, but you can bet it's the Federal Government calling the shots as to where it goes.

Wow, let this sink in. Biden is sending oil from our strategic oil reserve that we have in case of emergencies or war, to Europe and China? We are sitting back and wondering when China will finally attack Taiwan, who we have said we will defend. Why would we be sending oil from our strategic reserves to China? Does that make a lick of sense? Biden is draining our reserves to lower the price of gas before Nov. election. While putting this country in extreme danger by draining our reserves.

Democrats as a party do not serve Americans first. It’s a shame.

I have been testing lots of gasoline for sale in Mexico lately, the use the MTBE instead of ethanol. Ships worth. And remember, lots of the traders and oil companies are not even American besides the divisions that operate here.

Maybe its Pemex, BP, Shell,Saudi Aramco or any other foreign oil companies who operate refineries or trading operations in the US. The release and oil production in general is considered on the global market/scale.

This is as stupid as a prepper selling their stored food during a famine to the guy down the street. But no one is really surprised, Biden and his admin want the American people to continue to pay the highest possible gas prices. He isn't doing anything to help, but only hurt. Dems will continue to excuse and defend.

Nope. It's bid on and the winner can do with it as they please. The only thing they can do is limit who can bid on it to start with.

Maybe it's time to nationalize the oil companies.

Millions Of Barrels From US Emergency Oil Reserve Sent Abroad, Including To China

At what point is this viewed as enemy action?

"China is now directly benefiting at the expense of US consumers as a result of Biden's escalating panic to undo the consequences of his catastrophic green policies by selling the most valuable US assets directly to Beijing!"

Oil we might need to fight a cross-strait war with China if they try to take over 70% of the global chip supply, which our military runs on, by invading Taiwan.

"But what is even more scary is the following exchange, in which the White House simply had no response when asked if the US is selling its emergency reserve oil to China."

" .. . https://reuters.com/business/energy/oil-us-reserves-head-overseas-gasoline-prices-stay-high-2022-07-05/… Karine Jean-Pierre doesn’t know millions of barrels of oil released from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve sent to China..."

You really don't understand government contracts it appears. I'm listen to a Cal. Dem right now saying Biden could EO a ban on oil exports and that this was a major mistake. He's on the Energy commission.

That's how this one was done which its why it's so stupid, it didn't have to be done that way. It could've been required to be refined in American for American consumers; it wasn't.

The marketplace is so globalized that basically oil is oil now. Our sanctions of Russian oil made ALL oil so expensive that Russia is now making more money selling oil than before we sanctioned it, which means our sanctions are effectively funding their war that we sanctioned them to stop.

The more we try to control and regulate the market, the less the market operates the way we want it to...

We just need to get back to drilling our own ****. Thats the only way we have any real control over what happens.

Has that ever happened before during any oil release?

To stabilize the global oil markets. Domestic refineries don't want it, so if you can stabilize global oil markets and reduce their dependence on say Russian oil, it helps with the war at least.

Hmmm so you think the goal should've been to stabilize the world market rather than stabilize our refineries and lower our prices, do we have a shortage or not? It hasn't helped with the War, Russia is raking in May they cracked 20 billion in revenue, the largest for the year.

This oil that was shipped has a high sulfur content, which domestic refiners do not want to process because it's more expensive due to higher costs for equipment maintenance.
