Sounds like the court is leaning 6-3 for Trump.

IF so the majority decision will be a manual for the "Texas Sidestep" or the "Twist"

The dissenting decision should be easy to write, just a quote of the Constitution and Amendment 14.

    @Noone

Colorado courts have not charged or convicted Trump of leading or participating in an insurrection.

The judge from the lower court ruled he DID engage in insurrection.

Turns out that even judge Jackson is questioning the lawyer from Colorado why section 3 of the 14th doesn’t specifically mention the president as it does other in the federal government? I’m thing this is going to fall flat on its face if the liberal judges are asking tuff questions too.

More like 8-1 Kagan was arguing that affirming the colorado would create chaos though out the election process, And jackson that it doesn't the clear language of the Amendment leaves out prosident and vice president.

Jackson and Kagan were very hard on Jason Murray. Kagan literally said, "What is a state doing deciding who other citizens get to vote for President?" Sotomayor seemed confused, as usual. That's par for the course for her. She's the mental midget on the Court who often misses the entire point that other people were capable of picking up on. It comes out during oral arguments and in her awkward dissents. Jackson was talking about the drafts and how they chose to remove the President from Section 3 so why should a state, not the federal government, disqualify a President from the ballot?

If I were placing bets I would guess at least 8 Justices side with Trump, although they may have their own reasoning for doing it and we may have multiple decisions on that front. Sotomayor is anyone's guess. Her law clerks clearly don't properly prepare her properly for oral arguments and her writing often shows she doesn't have a clue. So she's anyone's guess. Hopefully she'll find some higher quality clerks to have do her job for her. The far left on this forum love quoting Laurence Tribe and his criticism of Trump. Ironically, Obama was his student back in the day and when Tribe learned he was considering Sotomayor for the Supreme Court he wrote Obama a letter telling him she didn't have the intelligence to serve on the court. But she checked the right boxes. So here we are. She's now our comedic relief during oral arguments and she writes some pretty hilarious dissents without actually trying to be funny.

It is so simple... try and focus.... Colorado courts have not charged or convicted Trump of leading or participating in an insurrection.

what do you expect-they also think that because a civil court found by a preponderance of the evidence that Trump assaulted some certifiable nutcase, he is "guilty of rape" even though the nutcase cannot even remember what year it happened.

except there is no doubt he did the killing. this nutcase waited how many years to make a claim. there was no other evidence. Her claim that he boned her in a dressing room makes no sense that no one could hear it. I don't know about you but her claim that he was actually able to engage in actual rape based on what she had on, sounds like complete nonsense to me

Really, counselor? The 12 people that mattered disagree.
There was "no other evidence", because trump didn't show up.
    You were there?
Just like "YOU" have no doubt O.J. did the killing. For a guy with his shingle hung out as a "legal expert" you sure do a lot of free lance interpreting.

Do you ever just accept the decision of your peers? And believe in Government by the People.

When you boil away the fat that's what These United States are ... Government BY the PEOPLE.

They put erasers on pencils because PEOPLE ... **** up. But recent reserch has proven that LARGE groups of people, say ... ALL Americans ... make a decision, they, more often than not, make the right one. They did in 2020 and even in 2016. Unfortunately they were overruled in 2016.

Judge Ito was a complete joke of a judge. He was essentially incompetent and many other experts agree with me. those jurors aren't peers of mine.

and you are here whining that I said OJ did the killing while you claim Trump raped someone based on a claim 20+ years old and essentially a physical impossibility given the location and what the "victim" was wearing
