The U.S. Supreme Court ruled late Friday night that California cannot ban in-home religious services while allowing other similar activities in the secular world, once again ruling in favor of religious liberty in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 5-4 ruling was led by the court’s most conservative justices, including newest member Amy Coney Barrett, while Chief Justice John Robert’s once again joined the liberal bloc as he has during the COVID-19 outbreak.

“California treats some comparable secular activities more favorably than at-home religious exercise, permitting hair salons, retail stores, personal care services, movie theaters, private suites at sporting events and concerts and indoor restaurants,” the majority opinion stated.

The decision overruled the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which had upheld the ban. The majority rebuked the lower court for ignoring its earlier guidance in rulings siding with religious liberty over pandemic restrictions....

It’s nice to see the Supreme Court protecting Religious liberty. California has been particularly vicious in its repression of religious observance. They have never since the pandemic began been fair to believers compared to secular gatherings and businesses. The bigotry of my states government against the public expression of religious beliefs needed to be rebuked.

That they singled out house churches and home Bible study for outlawing shows the extent of their bigotry against believers.

God doesn't belong in California according to the ********s that have all of the power in the state.

Hitler wasn't particularly religious but he allowed the believers to do as they please.

His downfall in the religious category was choosing some over other faiths.

And those of the faith that he didn't particularly care for weren't out bombing and killing with reckless abandon with disregard for human life.

More militant religions that are on their way to become an eventual majority thank christians for paving the way for them.

Also strange that the conservative led opinion compared in home religious gatherings to stores and not other in home gatherings. Are they admitting that evangelicalism is just a business?

I think it is saying the Muslims are taking over. If so it is right. Modern christianity has really been a detriment to Western peoples defending and advancing their interests. All the turn the other cheek nonsense is poisonous.

    Right?

What the actual ****? 4 U.S. Supreme Court Justices believe that secular gatherings are fine, but religious ones are not? That's like a double F U to the 1st Amendment.

Or it shows their utterly irrational behavior regarding a flu virus, or perhaps their fealty to WEF and the Official Narrative?

It's more about the government wanting to be able to determine what they believe is important. Not what YOU believe is important, but what they believe is important. Same reason why they forced small businesses closed but allowed big corporations to remain open. Same reason why that video went viral showing that distraught small business owner being ordered to close by the State even though she set up outdoor dining according to the rules. Then literally in the exact same parking lot as her business a few yards away from her setup a large movie production company was allowed to set up outdoor dining and catering and it was greenlit by the State.
