A major victory to Mr. Trump.
He did what Europian countries are afraid to do.

Go ahead... This happened almost exclusively in Blue States. Not my problem if you are inclined to inconvenience other liberals.

Well as the law is written he could do it.

"Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may, may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."

I mean that is pretty clear. If people want it changed talk to Congress and change the law.

    Heres one:

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/supreme-court/supreme-court-upholds-trump-travel-ban-n873441

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4 ruling, upheld President Donald Trump's restriction on travel to the United States from a handful of Muslim countries on Tuesday, giving the White House its first high court victory on the merits of a presidential initiative.

Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the majority, made it clear that the court viewed the ability to regulate immigration as squarely within a president's powers and he rejected critics' claims of anti-Muslim bias.

"We express no view on the soundness of the policy," Roberts wrote.

After a series of federal court rulings invalidated or scaled back earlier versions of the travel ban, the decision is a big win for the administration and ends 15 months of legal battles over a key part of Trump's immigration policy, which opponents attacked as a dressed-up form of the Muslim ban that Trump promised during his 2016 campaign.

If one had any common sense, banning everyone from six Muslim countries isn't a Muslim ban. There're are around 50 Muslim countries in the world, Trump banned six that were exporting terrorism. For this to be considered a Muslim ban, he would have had to ban all or most of the 50 Muslim countries.

It was a ban on those who may be exporting terrorism. The Democrats stating this was a Muslim ban was nothing more than a political ploy in search of votes. It was asinine. Do the math, six out of 50 or so. The math alone tells everyone with a bit of common sense this wasn't a Muslim ban.

Libs said this was unconstitutional and Trump was exceeding his authority.

So if the Supreme Court has said that it's up to the President to regulate immigration will his proposal to simply deport illegals without a court appearance also be valid?

Yes but a tad late...It did send a pretty clear signal that simply emoting something from the left does not a legal decision make.

    Now build the wall

No, he needs Congress to change some laws in order to roll back unwarranted legalism in the immigration process and that will be difficult unless republicans have a better showing in November than the left expects them to have.

This doesn't cure terrorism. It does control risk some and is far superior to no travel ban.

You should pay more attention to the news, Chris. Use google or Bing and put in Merritt Garland.

Put pressure on to extract demands. Shutting down the airports until this is overturned this an excellent way to force change for the better.
