It appears that some of her fans have an irrational hero worship of her.

You criticized her music while also admitting you had never listened to it. But this isn't the first time on this thread you've forgotten what you've said.

Again, no, that's not all you said.

It's an insult that you pretend you are incapable of reading what you've written. that's the insult.

Expecting you to have enough integrity to read your own posts =/= "irrational hero worship"

I LOVE Taylor Swift and Her Music...
She is ICONIC, Well-Deserving of the Time Person of the Year, and One of the Most Significant Cultural Figures of the 21st Century! Period!
That said: her presence as a member of the "Chief's Family" has totally forked up the vibe of the Chiefs.
Before Taylor = Chiefs Winning and Super Bowl Faves...
After Taylor = Chiefs LOSING and Disgracing the NFL..
***Correlation does not always equal Causation...
BUT: In this case, it is a legit concern...

Yes. Irrational hero worship. That’s exactly what it is.

I'm sorry that you feel like it takes hero worship to read your own posts. I disagree. I think all of us are capable of basic literacy.

I’m really not sure why you are having such a hard time accepting my view that I see nothing special with this woman.

Where did I say it takes hero worship to read my posts like you just claimed? You have an odd idea as to how literacy is expressed. You have misrepresented nearly every comment I’ve made.

Obviously to receive your level of obsessive devotion, she has marketed herself extremely well. Now that can be commended. She has marketed herself into icon status. She has worshipers, not fans.

I'm not sure why you are obsessed with that straw man. Because that isn't what you actually said.

So now you are prepared to talk about what you actually said . . . for the first time?

Cute. But you didn't even know anything about her or her music until today, so clearly you aren't being honest.

It isn't a legit concern. It's pure superstition. No different than my dad picking out which socks to wear when watching the Astros.

That’s exactly what I said. Literacy counts.

That’s a question you should ask yourself.

After checking out her music, I find it to be nothing special or remarkable.

That’s my honest view. Why does that offend you?

These pop stars can be a distraction.

I don’t think that’s the reason Mahomes has struggled at times this year. I don’t think she’s the reason KC wide receivers are dropping passes.

She's of my kids generation. My son went with his fiancé to her concert up in Philly. A serious case of hero worship. Kind of like me back in Queen's heyday.

On the other hand, it's certainly possible her jinx of Kelce helped the Lion's kick KCs arse in the season opener. So I like her.

Regarding Taylor Swift, anyone remember the Genesis song "Duchess"?
She ain't the only one it applies to.
    .............................................................................................
Times were good, she never thought about her future
She just did what she would
Although she really cared about her music
It all seemed so important then

And she dreamed that every time that she performed
    Everyone would cry for more
That all she had to do was step into the light
And everyone would start to roar

And on the road where all but a few fall by the wayside
    On the grassier verge
She battled through against the others in her world
And the sleep, and the odds

But now every time that she performed
    Oh, everybody cried for more
Soon, all she had to do was step into the light
For everyone to start to roar
    And all the people cried
"You're the one we've waited for!"

But time went by, it wasn't so easy now, all uphill
    And not feeling so strong
Yes, times were hard, too much thinking about the future
    And what people might want

And then there was the time that she performed
    When nobody called for more
And soon every time she stepped into the light
They really let her know the score

But she dreamed of the time when she sang her songs
    And everybody cried for more
When all she had to do was step into the light
For everyone to start to roar

    And all the people cried
"You're the one we've waited for!"

    Yeah....
Since I posted that, KC by has won 5 straight, and is 1 win away from winning the Super Bowl...
That is a hilarious theory about Swift...
Still, I am hoping for the Chiefs...
After forking up the entire NFL by beating the Ravens (and that Overhyped, Overpaid, Prideless Bum Lamar Jackson)--KC would be the biggest flop in Sports History if they shat the bed.

Taylor Swift is not Yoko Ono. Taylor is beautiful and talented. Yoko Ono was a parasite.

I dont know. Somehow she got under the skins of the usual suspects without doing anything other than cheering for her boyfriend. She'd be their national hero if she wore a MAGA hat.

it's a story in the bible that talks about people worshiping the Golden Calf, a Calf is a young Cow, in this case we are talking about an elderly old Cow
