Look, She writes music, and performs what she writes and does both very successfully. She's got a knack for knowing her audience and knowing when to stretch herself and her music into multiple genres, and still keep her fan base happy. She knows how to market both sufficiently to have an album reach #5 on the US billboards in 2006 and never look back. Inarguably, that kind of thing takes acumen and talent. As for anything else on the topic, its all either opinion or speculative.

She donates huge sums to charity. She pays her road crew huge bonuses when she does well.
