    Mentioned in her hearing, she has a spotless criminal record. Mentioned as well not long ago, the victim made a statement through her lawyers, that it was no fight. It was an attempt to murder her.

    Interesting bit of information, is that Ronette Ricketts had been stressing she might be fired, although that information has neither been confirmed or denied, until the investigation is concluded.

    I don't see skin pigmentation issue in this, other than the usual after the fact ways to try to make it applicable. If leniency is shown towards Ricketts, a racial bandwagon can get jumped on, although it would seem with a spotless criminal record...shouldn't that leniency be extended to her. Far worse than her have been granted leniency, for far worse crimes, on all sides of the color spectrum.

    Noteworthy. The screwdriver. It always has fallen into the cracks regarding tool vs weapon. Teachers don't walk around with screwdrivers, but nobody would think a thing of it, if they did. Intent for sure.

    And given the victim was stabbed 16 times, and yet only suffered "superficial injury", we may surmise this may well have not been a "weaponized" tool, or even something that was intended to kill.

    I do think that SOME blacks are more racist towards whites than some people will admit, but racism is an infinitely directioned street. There are always racists against every race. But MOST people have learned to be tolerant.

    All teachers are people - all different personalities. Some are good teachers, some are bad teachers, some mediocre.... some are mean to the kids, some are great w/the kids.... some -men and women - as we know, are sexual predators and their students are their victims.....

    I assume there was a reason the OP felt the need to show us it was a black woman who committed the crime?

    The color of the perp has nothing to do with the story.

    Nowhere in the article does it even SUGGEST that that woman stabbed this white woman simply because she was white.

    You are grasping at straws.
