You guys realize that the human race is it, right? Just one race. Biology teaches us that we are all of us so similar to each other that insufficient DNA variance exists to conclude otherwise. No white race, no black race, no asian race, just the human race. Kind of makes you think, doesn't it? The idea of different human race sub groups is an invention, a social construct. Why is that so hard for some people to see? What is there which frightens people so?

For all you know he over heard complaints.

No, you're assessing her on your own beliefs and that she dared speak up. What exactly did she say that was wrong?

All taxonomy is a social construct

It is the liberals like you who are the scared ones as science discovers salient differences every day..

    Lol. What nonsense.

Modern taxonomy doesn't look for physiological differences. It looks at DNA. Race is not encoded in our DNA.

For what other species do we use a social construct? Dogs? Cats? Ants, bees, hornets, wasps, termites, herpe viruses? Lol. Sorry. The idea of fir trees taxonomically classified based on a social construct is pretty funny.

    No, they don't.

Race is indeed encoded in our DNA. That's how Ancestry.com makes its money.

That's false. Race cannot be determined with a DNA test. What ancestry.com does is irrelevant.

It tells you where your ancestors came from based on their DNA. What is irrelevant about that?

It can only do that because of environmental factors that affect ones DNA. It doesn't tell you what race you are. Just what region of the world your ancestors come from. You could be a black person who's ancestors never had a child with a white person, yet ancestory.com will still tell you that you have European ancestors. Because your ancestors lived for at least a few generations in Europe.

Smh. No, DNA does not tell us "where" our ancestors come from. It tells us who our ancestors are. You have to compare DNA to known populations to determine geographical heredity, and that can be broken down to very precise areas.

There is no gene for race. It's just not there.

of course there is no gene for race. There is a whole constellation of genes associated with race.

    Here is a nice visualization:

I understand that it is very important to you that there are no races just like it is important to Christians that Jesus was born of a Virgin.

But I don't deal in faith, I deal in facts.

Oh, really? Send up a couple so I can shoot 'em down. You agree, of course, to confine yourself to the real world of actual things and avoid flights of fancy and conservative inventions. So, go ahead and send up a couple. I'm patiently waiting, tapping my foot. And oh, here is a serious challenge. Point out one thing I have posted in this thread which would indicate I am a liberal of any kind. Not holding my breath on that one. If you think you have found one, note the post number.

I deal in facts exclusively, and when I don't know something on my own, I trust experts in the field to know what they are talking about. Nothing you said challenges anything I have said. Biology tells us we are to much alike to each other for there to be more than one type of human. Geneticists tell us that there is insufficient variance in DNA to each other to establish more than one racial group, and DNA is what determines that. So, my apologies to all of you racist bigots out there, but it looks like all of the black and brown and red and yellow guys out there are, indeed, ur brethren, our brothers and sisters. It seems that human beings haven't been around long enough to develop sub-groups, which, when you come to think about it, is good news. There is no guarantee as to which group would be on the bottom. Could be yours. So when you put all of the pieces together it turns out that racial theory and racial laws are, indeed, social constructs.
Your telling me that DNA can't determine my race? It can't figure out that I am a human being, a homo sapien? I'm sorry fella, but that is just 9 different kinds of stupid.

Sure...it can tell that you're homo sapien. But that is not what is being talked about now is it? What was being talked about is skin color being talked about as a race taxonomically.

    @LangleyMan

Here is a teacher admitting that she's pissed because she can't teach CRT.

I have no idea what she thinks she's teaching, but it isn't history. What you're looking at in the video is the counterpart to Trumpism. Her sort of bias has no place in a classroom.

Anyone who actually believes she won't teach her version of CRT because her state passed anti-CRT legislation is someone I would like to see on my short list for bridge sales.

I wonder if you appreciate Trumpism has no place in a classroom, either.

P.S. I taught with a few wooly characters over the years, but no one as wound up on the left as this woman.

P.P.S. There are biases baked into the system, but nothing we can't counter if we make the effort when we see it.

There are signifcant diffferences between the races in the frequency of the MAOA gene.

Two small studies gave hints that the especially dangerous 2-repeat allele might be more common among African Americans. One study wrote that 6% of their non-white (but probably mostly African-American) male subjects had this allele. The other had 5 of 37 (14%) African-American men possessing “rare MAOA alleles.” Those percentages are remarkable given that studies of white men have suggested that 1% or fewer have this gene.

    https://theunsilencedscience.blogspot.com/2011/03/racial-controversy-of-violent-gene.html

This is important because the two-repeat allele of the MAOI gene is correlated with violent behavior:

Tell that to the white man who got turned down for a grant or a college admission because he doesn’t qualify for affirmative action.

blacks are their own worst enemy. They have the second to the lowest graduation rate and second to lowest literacy rate. Right behind native Americans. They have a hard time in life because they can’t even graduate high school. They would rather twerk on an ambulance rather than help a shooting victim. Their culture is their main problem. I think Thomas sowell’s book “white liberals and black rednecks” explains it best.

Which is 9X9 different kinds of wrong. What we are talking about are artificial racial divisions. Putting any other label on it is akin to putting lipstick on a pig!

There are no significant differences in races since there is only one race, the human race. So says biologists, so says geneticists.

I was generalizing and you come back with how one person might feel.

I guess this means you don't disagree with my observation.
Why are you talking about blacks as a collective? Are you responsible for these jackasses...?

Do whites have a culture? Are the above winners your culture?

How about these folks? Your culture, too?

OK, forget the word "race". There is a significant difference between White people and black people, as the research on the MAOI gene demonstrates.
