Ted Koppel tells Sean Hannity he is bad for America

No actually he couldn't afford to continue.
He has his own show on TV and his own radio show and you're calling him dumb? How many shows do you have?

I pay attention to how people view and treat other people. Generally I regard people who look down their nose at people who didnt attend college or dropped out as pieces of ****. Its how you treat others that defines who you are.

Setting aside that pointing out hypocrisy is not really a solid method of arguing, I would just note that Koppel's argument IS that those types of shows are bad for the public. That is, shows which attempt to supplant the editorial version of a news source for the front page version of a news source (i.e. Maddow and Sean Hannity) are both bad for society.

 

This is not jealously. I do not automatically consider someone intelligent simply because they had success or earned money. I feel that it is a mistake to assume that intelligence is automatically related to success.

Trump is an explicit example.

Just because Trump says that he "has the best words" and is worth several billion dollars does not mean that I believe he is intelligent. I look for him to speak intelligently and deeply. I have yet to see him do such with, literally, any topic where he did not use a prepared speech.

And? The fact that he listed a couple of conservative based examples of Koppel's argument does what for you? Show that he is probably hypocritical and thus you don't need to analyze the content of Koppel's argument?

College isn't for everyone, if everyone went, there would be no value to it.

I've known more millionaires in the blue collar industry who didn't go to college.

While plenty of cube dwellers making $30k/year with BS degrees process payroll/invoices for the said millionaires and the companies they built and the people they employ.
