honest to goodness how this guy walks around in public. He's the creator of the cartoon "the Oblongs" I never thought about what his license picture looked like, the clown makeup, or no makeup. To me, this entire case is based on judgement, which a govt agency and govt employee is to NEVER have any personal judgement in anything they do.... everything must be black and white.... which is stupid. Was this boy's makeup like my clown makeup picture? or was it highlighting features like girls do? Answer that, and the verdict of this case should be based off of that. if the makeup is at a disquising level, it needs to be removed. and that applies to both boys and girls. but there is that pesky judgement noone wants to allow
exactly it's a picture id and it is in the govt database. The kid can play dress up any other time. I stand by my statement that he and his parents should do community service.
There is a time and a place to "express" yourself. Then there is a time and place to conform. If you are too immature to understand the difference, best of luck to you. Getting upset over something as simple as a licence photo is going to the least of your troubles kiddo. Wait until he starts getting turned down for job offers. Is he going to sue everyone who "denies" him an opportunity, because they don't see it as appropriate or get uncomfortable due to his choice to look like a girl, or realize that maybe the world isn't crazy=) This isn't racial discrimination. He chooses to wear makeup and make people uncomfortable.
Let's been crystal clear here...It was the person at the DMV that become upset. What does the law say in regard to make-up? Is make-up permitted? All all persons with make-up asked to remove it pursuant to the law? Just because the woman at the DMV was upset, or you are upset...or grandma Tilly is upset is not reason to not follow the law.
Gene Simmons wasn't able to take a driver's license picture in full make up, either. If he wants to get his picture taken as a girl, have the operation. The law says that you can't get your driver's license photo wearing a disguise. Can I put on a fake mustache when I go get mine shot? No. Maybe one day they'll add a third option to the sex on the driver's license form.
first I've seen of the picture.... I have to say... it doesn't look anymore than a woman, and not clown makeup by any stretch. Good luck in future job interviews though

Havent seen the hands, probably by intentional cropping in the stories....but you just know they're meat hooks.
The woman is to be commended. She could have pulled out a gun and shot the workers; but instead chose to use the mechanism we use in this country to settle disputes among people, that being the legal system. That being said, in my opinion, the picture should make no difference because people can have their physical characteristics changed by surgery easily. However I would support thumb/finger prints as ID because its next to impossible to alter them.

There was No Woman who was told to remove makeup....it wasn't even a Girl, (which would be the appropriate term for a 16 year old Female anyway).... it was a Boy....in a costume.
