A man wielding a gun, a hatchet and pepper spray was killed inside a Tennessee movie theater on Wednesday after police responding to reports of an active shooter traded gunshots with the suspect, Nashville police said. Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron told reporters that one moviegoer was wounded by a hatchet before a SWAT team killed the suspect. The wounded person had a superficial injury, fire department spokesman Brian Haas said. LINK It sounds like the only person shot is the shooter himself. It appears they have no idea of a motive at this time. Well this is the last straw for me, my wife and I agree we will no longer be taking our children to movie theaters. When did people get so crazy?

Maybe but why take the chance with my children? Movies are expensive and I can download movies off the net without the worry of some nut with a gun and hatchet. I agree it is an odd combo.
maybe if the hollywood liberals made good movies not just remakes people would watch the movie and not get bored and shoot up the place...
in this case, thankfully there were policemen in close proximity so a 2 minute response was possible. A lot of injuries can be inflicted in close, tight quarters using a sharp hatchet. Imagine how bad it could have been if the police response was longer? People need to take seriously their own personal safety and stop thinking that police can arrive in time to prevent crime
No mention of race. I can only assume after reading reports on the most recent movie theater shootings, where they immediately stated the race of the shooter, that this was not a white male.

The US population, especially TV addicts are deluded, deceived, drugged, and collectively insane. Thus it is easy for some alphabet gang to create a lone gunman to get such a population to surrender their ability to defend themselves and the country. What is wanted is a defenseless population, like Syria was, and have Talmudized Muslim gurus going around killing them, plundering them and of course enjoying a large herd of succulent females.
Me and my fiance went to see Vacation (NOT a family movie anymore, funny but disappointing too) this past Saturday and I eyeballed every person that came through as I sat at the top. I profiled people coming in by themselves, as they would appear to be the most logical ones to do such a thing, and not a group or couple. It's sad that you have to do that.
My wife took our kids to a matinee last week and she felt the same way. I figure Vacation would be a little bit of a let down.

He said the gunman, a 51-year-old man, had a backpack or some other type of bag on him, and authorities were going through it to make sure that it did not pose a danger.
