My friend Mike caught it at 83. Did see a doctor, was not hospitalized. Suffered for 10 days and recovered with Azithromycin.

My MIL had it at 92 and survived it. My wife's aunt had it in her 80s and died from it. A friend of mine early 60s died from it. I'm 77 and I got the shots. If you don't trust it then it's your choice, did you wear a mask and social distance?

I wore a mask only in the doctor's office because I was undergoing a series of tests that I had to take for FAA. Early on for about a month while I was still scared silly, I wore it in Publix, but otherwise I haven't worn the mask.

I've been social distancing since I was a kid. I was trained to observe if others appear to be sick, and if so, to give way to and avoid them.

My immune system is strong, mostly because I supplement.

I wore masks because businesses required them, I never thought they really offered much protection, widespread use was a placebo, a straw to hang on to while you sink. They were harder to find than toilet paper early on.

Absolutely. Its the ones you passed it onto who's immune system didn't prevail and died. I guess they don't matter much to you?

Gosh this sounds like the old claims for smoking.

Who cares whats you think? Who are you? What matters is the evidence. And masks reduce transmission by over 80%.

80% is the number used to describe herd immunity.

Nobody but themselves matters much to any conservative, they're proud of that, it shows how non-woke they are.

What evidence? Masks did not reduce transmission by 80%.

I was going to be snarky and ask, "Like Andrew Cuomo?" but seriously. Old people had a life. They partied outdoors with loved ones. They got laid. Fell in love, had babies, formed families, communities and a Nation. What we did to our young to see to it that Grandma lived to be 82 rather than 80 when she died? Inexcusable.

The young will still do those things, the lock down was only months, not years.
Once again the age and numbers dying is a result of the lock down stopping the spread. So you are claiming low numbers and little life lost while berating the very things that kept those numbers low.

I thought the epidemiology studies are showing the opposite. That the lock downs, masks, distancing and any of the above in an outdoor setting had little to no effect. Example: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...-lockdown-had-little-effect-virus-infections/

We were told to lock down for 2 weeks, March 2020. The lock down in my area ended about 1 year and 2 months later.

But the damage may not be done. We're looking at devastating possibilities brought about by the lock down. Housing prices, for instance, have gone insane. Young people need that housing. They need the kind of vibrant economy and growing wages we had under Trump pre-pandemic.

Patience my friend, those things will settle down very quickly, when you've lived a bit longer and had a few events to go through you will get to know this. In 1992 the UK pulled out of the ERM and the effects from that on me at that time with a new born child seemed like they would destroy my life forever. The following crash and astronomical interest rates nearly lost me my home and it took me 6 years to recover.
Now when I look back, I realise the things that really mattered did not go away, the days out with friends, the japes with my children. Even the cheap crappy holidays camping in France now seem to have added to my life rather than taken from it.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound sanctimonious there.
