That's what I meant. If all the continents and trenches were to flatten out there would be enough water to cover everything with a mile of water.
Simple, the animals migrated there through land bridges and storms. That's how the finches in the Galapagos got there, they got blown out there by a storm. As for the kangaroos, Noah and his family can toss the "fertilizer" overboard. As far as feeding them, farmers today when they have a big herd of cattle would leave a hay bake in the middle of the field and let the animals feed on there own. Plus if the animals were babies or juveniles they wouldn't eat or do there business as much as a full grown adult.

It gives an answer to the charcoal.

Unless it was all lubricated by water under the earth and the sediment were soft.

How do you know the flood story was about that? And how do you explain over 200 flood legends with similar details?

The continents can be explained by tectonic plates.. (continental drift) and that took millions of years. Have you ever heard of Pangea?

A flood left evidence where a miracle would not. How else would you explain all the fossils found all over the world buried in sediments that cover the globe?

He did. God told Noah to bring enough food.

Because there were local floods else where in the world over time.. and the details are not similar. Further, there is evidence for cities and civilizations that were never disturbed much less destroyed by floods.. There simply is no flood footprint.

Consider Jericho which is 1000 feet below sea level or the pyramids of Egypt.. ancient cities in Anatolia or Baalbeck and Byblos.

The stories are important because they are about sin/disobedience. mercy and redemption.. but they aren't factual at all.

You mean the fossils buried in sediments that accumulated over millenia?

How is that a contradiction? God told Noah to take to of each kind and of the clean take seven. It'll be like me telling you to take take two of each fruit and of the apples take seven.
It rained forty days and nights, the flood lasted for a year.
Look at that verse carefully. Verse 13-16 is a different sentence than verse twelve. 13 is modifying 16.
Nobody saw rain before the flood and that's the main message. The fountains of the deep could've shot up high enough to partake in the rain.
    Both, DUH.

But everything else in the world drowned?
And this all took place about 4000 yrs ago?

I'm not saying the world was entirely flat. It had hills and low mountains I'm sure. I was making the point that IF the entire world was flatten out the water will be about a mile deep. Even in the Bible it didnt say the water was a mile deep.

Many of the flood legends include a boat, animals, a eight people, and a bird of some kind.

Yes I have, but did you hear that they shrank Africa by 40% to make it fit?

Right, which is none. There would be no need for food, God will sustain the life on the ark. No food, no feces, No Problems.

It didnt took a millennia make the layers. We find petrified clams in the closed position. If they died naturally then they would be open.

He could, but that's not what the Bible says, now I know that many animals hibernate during stormy weather but God was the one who told Noah what to do and God knew exactly how many animals will be on the ark so I think God had it figured on what to bring. But we can go back and forth on this point.

i wasn't replying to you. I know you believe in fairy tales, but I'm wondering if the other poster does as well.
Pyramids are older than 4000 yrs, none have signs of water damage or being crushed under a mile of water, as you said could be.

By all means, give us the numbers, you say it's all there in the bible. Lets have math class.

From you sig line. Use all of these, not just the scripture. But I've yet to even see that.

Nope.. There are towns and villages that have been excavated .. some are 11,000 years old and they were never flooded.

The flood story is an epic myth ... It never happened.

Because of rapid burial cause by underwater avalanches caused by the flood.
