The Poverty Threshold is $24K annual revenue for a family of four. The Minimum Wage is around $7.25 an hour, or about $15K a year. And, you think the resulting 13.5% of Americans (that's 43.3M men, women and children) that are incarcerated below the threshold is also fiction produced by evil-minds ("pervert Lefites") in the Census Bureau?

Wake up, will you?!? You are denying factual evidence, which only those do who have a perverted view of reality ...

Capitalism is what makes the world go-round. Even in Europe where Social Democracy is the rule, nobody denies that it is central to any market-economy.

It's not capitalism that got it wrong in the US. It's Reckless Ronnie who perverted upper-income taxation during his presidency and a country that refuses to stop the heinously unfair expenditure of 54% of the Discretionary Budget on the DoD. (Given that our primary needs are for a free Tertiary Education and far less costly National Health Care system.)

Our expenditure priorities are all wrong, wrong, wrong - and you wouldn't understand the meaning of Societal Justice if it bit you on the nose ...

Two lines that mean nothing because their relevance is unexplained.

You are posting "what you believe"! Not "why you believe it"!

    Try harder ...

Oh, wow, "tyrannically"? Like they throw people in jail for voting for the loser?

Pathetic nonsense and you should be ashamed of yourself. In any "real democracy" there is one vote per person, and the total alone decides the winner! Not some contrivance invented when the nation was an infant and its leaders at the time were afraid that the vote could be manipulated because most Americans could neither read nor write*.

And it took another century for the country to start implementing mandatory primary/secondary education provided free to its children. And again, a century later, we still cannot understand that we all deserve free tertiary education!

Wow, we can put a man on the moon but can't give our kids a free post-secondary education necessary to guaranty a family an affordable lifestyle ... !

That's absurd. It's Supply Side Derangement Syndrome. The data show that supply side is the best economic policy. The Obama economy vs. the Supply Side economies of Reagan, 41, Clinton, and 43 clearly show this.

Reagan's DoD expenditure resulted in the implosion of the Soviet Union and the budget surpluses under Clinton.

It's very clear what those lines mean. Affirmative action - many are harmed by this policy. Therefore this "social justice" policy is fundamentally unjust. Simple logic that.

If CA and NY were mostly conservative Democrats would be rioting if we relied on the 'popular vote.' The issue is not about education it's about stopping a few states from controlling elections.

And it's about the large cities controlling elections at the expense of the more rural areas.

You are preaching to folks that prefer to be part of a class that bows and kowtows to monarchies/kleptocracies/authoritarian regimes...what have you. These are not real Americans.

Makes one wonder where the "real ones" are.

The country needs drastic change for the better. Otherwise it sinks.

Do we need another "Watts", but this time across the country, to wake up? That sort of carnage could start a civil war. And at the rate Donald Dork is showing what a misfit of a PotUS he is, the outlook is dire.

    Mind my words ...

The country has made EU like economic growth rates (1-2%) under Obamanomics. Trump's supply side economics will get the US growing at ~ 4% growth rates again.

A constitutional republic with a deep flaw - called an Electoral College that makes a sham of "liberty and freedom of choice" by undermining the popular-vote.

He lost the popular vote by the widest margin (2%) in history. What does it take to wake up a country to its injustice of a democracy?

There is no such animal in this world as a “bona-fide republic” that denies the validity of the popular vote.

None, nada, niente, rien, nichts, zip, tipota …

Democracies are ruled by the mob. The electoral college ensures that all areas of the country are represented. A republic is far superior to a pure democracy.

Only on the planet where you live.

    Is it in our solar-system?

Wherever, go back to it ...

Inane comment and unsubstantiated by any nation on earth, including "Uncle Sam".

In fact, the US's overt manipulation of the popular-vote puts it into a lower range of acceptable democracies. Such an electoral machination is typical of non-evolved nations ...

    MY POINT

It is for such inanities that economics has a real reply. A nation's economic well-being very rarely depends upon the person sitting in the catbird seat. (In our case, the White House.)

Supply & Demand depend upon the will of the people, and particularly their situation of employment. If they've no threat of unemployment, they spend. If the reverse is true, they "hoard for a rainy day".

And since the Great Recession (2008/9) - instigated by Massive Bankster Fraud - consumer hoarding had been the rule for fear of unemployment. Until 2014, which long before Donald Dork was thinking maybe America's archaic voting mechanism could get "even him" elected to the White House.

(After all, the Electoral College - for the fifth time in our electoral history - had dumped Gore who won the popular vote in 2000. Thus allowing "Dubya", one of the greatest disasters of modern presidential history, to enter the White House whose Administration had triggered the SubPrime Mess and thus the Great Recession in 2008. Aside from his senseless "war over in the sandbox".)

In 2014, having waited four long years that the Replicants refused Obama any further Stimulus Spending (beyond ARRA that had spiked unemployment at 10% in 2009/10), the American economy started creating jobs miraculously all by itself. The reason, however, for the continued low-level of Total Employment (4% below it high-point in 2007) in the US had been Replicant refusal in the HofR (that they controlled) to pass any further Stimulus Spending from 2010 to 2016.

Now that "their guy" is elected, however, they will embark finally upon stimulus-spending in an effort to take credit for the Economic Recovery that started under Obama. (But, der'aint no mo' muney!)

My Point: All of which is an historical reference that the Replicant Party refuses to admit. And yet, the above rendition remains an historical fact to all. Except dunderheads who have no idea whatsoever of recent economic history. Because, what they want most is to remain in power thus assuring that weak upper-income taxation remains untouched ...

    Puerile nonsense.

The American democracy is manipulated by the fact that Americans sit on their fat you-know-whats spectating the elections rather than voting. Because, the outcome is usually decided by the unfairness of the Electoral College voting-rules (namely, "winner-take-all" voting).

We have one of the sorriest voting records of any "supposedly" free country. See Pew Resarch in the matter, here: U.S. trails most developed countries in voter turnout

    Nuff said ... ?

Supply side economic policies - do some homework. The Obama stimulus, ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, ... resulted in the worst economic recovery from a recession since the GD and economic growth of 1% adjusted for inflation and population growth. High rates of supply side economic policies help the lowest income earners much more than the higher quintiles.

Has he had any one on one time with Trump? Then why should we give a hoot what he says?

I'll happily find you 50 psychologists who say the opposite. What do all of them have in common? None of them would have actually treated Trump. Bingo!

Ridiculous. Trump isn't a Muslim terrorist he is a Civil Liberties terrorist and a religious bigot who is definitly trying to decapitate everything that America stands for in the world with the possible exception of military might.

P.S. Anyone know where I can get the Tshirt.

I bet you cannot post any data whatsoever to prove that the supply side tax cuts have helped the lowest income earners more than the wealthy. There is endless data to show that over the past forty years the wealth of America has steadily moved toward the top and away from the bottom and the middle.

The real median household income tells the tale. The percentage of wealth in the top few percent has remained the same since the Great Depression. Although in the Obama economy that percentage did rise a bit.

Your post illustrates the fairy tale pushed by the socialist social justice true believers. Economic growth benefits the lower income quintiles much more than the top income quintiles. And supply side economic policies grows the economy at a far greater rate than command/control socialism.
