Also, the science says that radiometric dating is reliable.

Semi interesting I guess. Doesn't help with the science questions though.

Not an issue for me.. I never thought the Bible was intended as a science book.

Lol that's funny, now is there a point to it?

    - - - Updated - - -

Do you think that a supreme being needs a sun to create light lol?

I believe that the sun is primary source of light on planet earth. Plants on planet earth require light to photosynthesize. If there was no sun, where is this light coming from?

How is god any different? So where did god come from? Did he just materialize from nothing?

    It is!
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever - Psalms, 104/5
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. - Revelation, 7/1

Earth is flat and it stands upon foundations.

Speaking in terms of gods, if there is such a supreme being that created light, the sun and all that is around us and beyond.......im pretty sure the god or supreme being didnt need a sun for light, such a thing could make its own light whenever it damn well pleases and however it pleases lol.

i doubt such a being, whatever it may actually be if there is one, is limited to what we are limited too. It sure as heck wouldnt have to live by our rules.

    [/QUOTE]

i dont think anything came from absolute nothing, whether it be a god or the universe. something just does not pop into existence from zero. whether it is a god or not, the answer is so far above our heads its possible we will never know. In truth i feel that the universe or what came before it is not finite, its ever going. but from what, i couldnt even imagine lol.

maybe within our lifetime we will be lucky to understand a half assed possibility lol.

you know you cant really rule that out. what if we are something of just a very small bacteria/parasite/pest on top of another being lol?

if there are such things live on and amongst us, why couldnt we be the same kind of thing on something else who's world is billions and billions of times bigger than ours lol?

not too far fetched really lol.

Could any human being possibly be so egomaniacally, arrogantly, presumptuously, hubristic that he would actually claim to define gods for everyone just because he once read a book?

Just because someone watches the programs does not mean they are some how Christian, or remotely religious. I will probably watch the series as well.

The Bible also MURDERED "60 Minutes", as well as everything else, on Sunday:

‘ The Bible’ Trounces Perennial Sunday Ratings King ’60 Minutes’ (and Everything Else)

After producer Mark Burnett and his wife, actress Roma Downey referred to the Bible as “the most read, most influential book of all time,” the first episode of their new mini-series on History Channel about that influential book delivered in a very large way. Here are some of the noteworthy numbers:
•13.1 million watched the premiere episode of the miniseries (14.8 million total viewers in the two airings)
•4.6 million adults (25-54) tuned in, beating everything the big four networks offered in prime time
•The number one cable entertainment telecast of the year.
•The Bible was #1 trending term on Twitter leading up to the show
    •History.com’s biggest day ever

In the 8-10pm time slot, The Bible’s total audience number (13.1 million) for this first episode was nothing short of “biblical.”

In comparison with the broadcast networks not a single program offered by CBS, NBC, Fox, or ABC even came close to the 13.1 million viewers watching the first airing of the History channel’s epic new series. The CBS news magazine “60 Minutes” pulled in 11.95 million viewers. “The Amazing Race” (also from Mark Burnett) had 9.12 million people watching. NBC also spent the past few weeks promoting the return of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice.” Trump’s show managed only 5.08 million viewers.

    Uh...no, He didn't.

THIRD day----"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. "----Genesis 1:11

FOURTH day---"And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also."----Genesis 1:16

BTW, I notice you citing "The Blaze"......what does the Bible say about liars, i.e. Glenn Beck?

And, some other scientists say it is not, and make a FAR BETTER CASE for their view, as I have posted. THERMAL DAMAGE completely DESTROYS radiometrics, ( which even the people trying to defend radiometrics admit), and ALL ROCKS MORE THAN 100,000 years old are of VOLCANIC ORIGIN, which you keep trying to pretend is of no significance.

I have no idea how old the Earth is, and NEITHER DO YOU.

The difference is, I am intellectually honest enough to ADMIT THAT OBVIOUS FACT, while the secularists CANNOT critically assess their "religion", as this thread proves.
The Bible makes NO CLAIMS in that regard, either.

Then you tell me based on the bible, how old is the earth.
Strict inerrant bible believers can back track the age based on ages in the bible of folks and how long they lived or the age they were when they died.
I guess you don't believe the bible to be accurate?

If there is nothing to fear then why do atheists spend so very much time trying to destroy faith? Usually when you try to destroy something it is because you fear it; hence, fear of faith!
