    It has happened many times in prehistoric times and the Earth has come through it every time. Perhaps we won't survive one but the planet will.

    So I've been ghosting this board for about a month. Lots of interesting discussions. I hadn't really planned to post myself... But of all things this needed response:

    If 20 wolves take down a woolly mammoth to feed their pack and offspring, that's natural, organic?

    But if 20 humans using atlatls take down a wooly mammoth to feed, clothe, and produce bone tools for their clan, somehow this is an abomination in the face of Gaia?!?!

    Surely you are not suggesting this as the genocidal extinction of the wooly mammoth?
