    "Here we report on a
survey of biophysical scientists across disciplines at universities in the Big 10 Conference"

Not quite what you are suggesting...

This is your OPINION and not a fact. All other evidence says you are wrong and it has been proven time and again.

The science is pretty well settled. There are no scientific groups that deny that man contributes to global warming. Now models and data will continue to evolve and old models will improve but none of that is going to change the overwhelming scientific consensus that man significantly contributes to global warming.

Actually, you can look it up since it is data an not opinion like yours. Nothing has been proven which is one of those difficult things that true advocates do not want to face.

That is the propaganda to be sure. For instance, according to the models the Atlantic was supposed to be warming based on man made CO2 and hurricanes would be worse yet it the Atlantic has cooled and was warmer in the 40's. Climate change was the alarmist call when Hurricane Sandy happened and I expect it will be the claim again for hurricane Joachuim but observed science says otherwise. Propaganda. Models are not observed science or fact.

You can look up the data for the Atlantic area that created Sandy and is creating Joachuim for yourself. http://climexp.knmi.nl/start.cgi?id=someone@somewhere

    Oops. It is already happening.

What we’ve learned about hurricanes and climate change since Katrina

    Wrong!

    This statement is factually incorrect.

The Science is FAR, far, far... from settled in the true scientific community.

Among "Climate Scientists", whose funding comes from Leftie Government Programs, because they get PAID to spout it, you will find large support for these silly theories.

Among serious scientists who have a background in fundamental physical sciences, but working in fields of meteorological weather forecasting, aerospace engineering, nuclear engineering, military R&D, phara R&D, Camera Optics, and Industrial Laser Design and Manufacturing, ...

In other words, among people who do not get their paychecks from the AGW "Industry" and Hoax...

You will find a majority of scientists who will tell you that we do not have enough concrete, well documented and broad time span data to make any scientifically sound analysis yet, and that collecting such data will take centuries. And that data needs to be carefully validated by "un-biased" collectors, who are not swayed by their funding coming solely from the pro-AGW political sources.

You will also find that a majority of unbiased scientists who are objective and well educated in the field do not believe it likely that Man's actions are the Major Influence in climate change, but a minor to probably insignificant factor.

The entire premise of this thread is faulty. If you are referring to a consensus, then you are talking about politics or religion and you are not talking about science. Please, could anyone please tell me anywhere in history where a point of scientific contention was settled by a vote? Is this what the argument has devolved into?

The entire core of the argument for global warming, errrrrrr..... I mean global climate change, is computer modelling. Too many scientists have way to much faith in computer models but faith is a component of religion, and not science. And what have these computer models shown us in terms of actual predictions of the climate? The computer models predicted global ice ages, New York City underwater by the year 2000, a more devastating hurricane season the year after Katrina, and 500 days of global weather chaos which will destroy economies. None of those things occurred, yet blind faith in computer modelling still exists. We found that those models are based on underestimating the number of trees on the Earth by several orders of magnitude and yet the faith remains. None of the computer models predicted an 18 year hiatus in temperature rise and still the faith remains. We discovered that NOAA used computer modelling to change the temperature that occurred in the past in order to make it look like global warming actually exists and even so, the faith in the computer model exists. We learned that the climate wonks at East Anglia University instructed climate scientists how to cook the data if the data didn't fit the doxology of the religion of climate change and we still have people who have absolute faith in these computer models.

So now you are telling us that the acolytes of the Sacred Church of Anthropogenic Climate Change have voted that their faith based belief is real. Color me surprised! But once again, the OP is an attempt to persuade us that politics, religion, and polls are real science, but to a discerning individual, it is achieving the exact opposite effect. Amen.

Speaking of paychecks. Here is a bottom feeder that has become rich off of taxpayer money and was behind the call to government to abuse the RICO statutes to go after skeptics.

Shukla has made 1.5 million for himself and is wife off of us and employs much of his own family. Roger Pielke discovered the money behind Shukla. Shukla's organization, after posting the letter then taking it down says it is disbanding the organization since all the work was completed in 2015 yet records show they were awarded 4 million for work to be finished in 2017.

Climate Scientists Asking Obama To Prosecute Skeptics Got Millions From US Taxpayers

The crowd of AWG biased Bull(*)(*)(*)(*) hacks...

Try real scientists for a change, who do NOT get their funding from promoting the AGW hoax.

A person who studies the radiative coupling of radiate energy from an industrial cutting laser can more more acturatelly calculate the energy coming from the sun down to earth, than the hacks who get their funding from AGW hoax, partly because their jobs require them to get the science right on a continuous basis, or their laser fails to cut the cloth/Steel/plastic in the factory...

but more importantly, they still get their paychecks, regardless of whether they AGW theory is found to be "Settled" or not.

And among pragmatic scientists and engineers, the AGW theories are seen as just silly!

Next post should be the list of scientific organizations worldwide that deny man's contribution to global warming. I will wait.

Real Scientists do not make claims of conclusions, when not enough time has passed, or enough valid data collected, to make a sound scientific judgement!

You won't find such claims, not because there are no real scientists who question AGW theories, but because anyone who takes science seriously, understands the mathematical basis of signal to noise ratios, and the sampling periods and accuracy required to make a science based claim, and the nature of the issue of solar radiative coupling and rate of change, makes the minimum time to determine a current "Trend", much less general historical cause and effect of climate change, a period of measures in centuries... not a few years of highly questionable data!

We do NOT have the data required, and will not have it for at least another two hundred years!

Appeal to authority is a logical fallacy. Like the climate statement from the American Physical Society that was drafted unilaterally by a couple advocates and generated complaints from over 160 of it's members, especially since it completely ignored the result of a workgroup it sponsored to give advice for the statement.

At one time nine out of ten scientist thought the world was flat.
At another time nine out of ten scientist thought the sun revolved around the earth. So what.

The warming pause that started at the end of the 90's, with a continual rise in CO2 levels should be setting off alarm bells for the man made warming crowd, but it isn't because people like the OP have made this about ideology instead of science.

Are you confusing scientific consensus with political consensus? And there really is no other side of the arguement. Just a few industry stooges paid by the hydrocarbon lobby and a few deniers who probably still think the sun revolves around the earth.

And the repeated incidents of falsified scientific data, and revelations of Millions of Government Dollars ending up in the pockets of those pushing for Prosecution of "Deniers" should also be raising significant flags of questioning ALL of what is being presented as "Scientific Evidence" for the AGW theories.

Particularly because other disciplines of science keep coming up with data which directly contradicts the claims being made by the AGW crowd.

For people such as myself, who worked at Los Alamos National Labs and Sandia National Labs, designing, building, calibrating, and fielding Optical Pyrometers, for fusion energy research, the measurements made in such endeavors, particularly in the area of Solar Radiation, hot black body Spectral Distribution, and Rayleigh Scattering changing coupled energy from a Z-pinch driven holoraum to a fusion ignition target.... we, who do NOT owe our continued funding to the spouting of PC Psuedo-Science claims!, ... and we almost universally see this AGW theory and political movement as a giant hoax!

You specifically cannot address the science but think politics is climate science. That's OK since the agenda needs people like you.
