As far as April to September rainfall is concerned, there is no trend whatsoever in East Anglia. Dry summers were just as common in the past: . . .

FB has removed some of my factual comments on economic topics because they "did not meet community standards." The actual reason was that they exposed and explained some of FB's own most egregious -- and profitable -- rent-seeking behavior.

The "social cost of carbon" didn't pass muster in federal court.
Federal District Court Enjoins Use Of The "Social Cost Of Carbon"
    February 13, 2022/ Francis Menton

    • In the U.S. so far, efforts to enact legislation in Congress to “save the planet” by restricting fossil fuels and transforming our energy economy have gone almost entirely nowhere.

    • President Obama’s big idea of “cap and trade” legislation died early in his first term and was never resurrected. President Biden’s “Green New Deal” has so far suffered a similar fate. If the Republicans retake even one house of Congress later this year, prospects for legislation on this subject may be dead for many years, if not for good.

    • Surely, you might think, without any legislative support from the Congress, the Executive Branch has little to no power on its own to effect a multi-trillion dollar total transformation of our energy economy.

    • Well, you might think that, and you would have the Constitution on your side; but unfortunately for you, the current President and the bureaucracy think otherwise. In their view, “saving the planet” from you having a warm home in the winter is a moral imperative so compelling that it overrides the Constitution and demands that they have the power to make you do as they say in every respect. Only the courts stand in their way.

The term was always an absurdity, like Greenpeace's proposal to "ban chlorine," a natural chemical element that is abundant in seawater as well as elsewhere on the earth's surface.

My personal take is that the NIMBY's are downright fascinating.

One of my best buddies (extreme leftist but a nice guy) was complaining the other day about how a community outreach facility (for those unable or unwilling to support themselves) was built/installed by the city just a few doors down from his posh suburban home.

Sure it's got to be somewhere but not next door to ME!!!!

Yeah, that is huge relief since CO2 isn't a threat to the health of the planet for OBVIOUS reasons.

Increasing CO2 is GREENING the planet.
Increasing CO2 is helping plants survive heat better.

Anti-fossil fuel government policies are also increasing the prices and reducing the availability of fossil fuels needed to sustain agriculture and food supplies in poor countries worldwide. Difficult though it may be to imagine, we are rapidly and inexorably sleep-walking toward a cliff where anti-fossil-fuel hate propaganda condemns millions of innocent people to slow and painful death by starvation -- and in the name of "science."

I for one would never have thought it possible. But it is happening before our very eyes.

It is painstaking but worthwhile work to deconstruct and expose climate propaganda.
“Breaking Boundaries”David Attenborough Distorts the Science and Shills for “The Globalist Agenda”

    Jim Steele

The video reviews David Attenboroughs’ 2021 documentary “Breaking Boundaries: The science of our planet” and highlights the disturbing number of distortions and misleading information he presents that is contradicted by a wealth of peer-reviewed science. This video reveals that despite lower CO2 concentrations and lower temperatures, the Holocene’s climate has always been unstable, plagued by a multitude of natural mega-droughts that reduced biodiversity, collapsed civilizations, and resulted in millions and millions of deaths.

The video provides the easily understood science of the causes of the earth’s mega-droughts that contradict Attenborough narrative so he completely ignores that science, preferring to demonize CO2. The purpose of Attenborough and Rockstrum’s fearful and distorted science appears to be, based on their own words in the documentary, motivated by their desire for a world government run by the United Nations Security Council which would control our economies and energy policies and thus enforce what they believe to be the earth’s “breaking boundaries”.

    Transcript is available at:

    https://perhapsallnatural.blogspot.com/2022/07/attenboroughs-breaking-boundaries.html

Jim Steele is Director emeritus of San Francisco State University’s Sierra Nevada Field Campus, authored Landscapes and Cycles: An Environmentalist’s Journey to Climate Skepticism, and proud member of the CO2 Coalition.
