…In the name of “democracy,” Democrats want to get rid of our current system of government.

The most unforgivable action taken by the Far Left in 2021 was…(Choose up to two answers)

That’s no small thing, given that the Constitution has held up for 240 years — longer than any other. The founders’ design of a federal republic with representative decision-making and checks and balances has ensured unparalleled freedom and prosperity, unlike “democratic people’s” regimes worldwide.

Hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants are swarming across the border every month and shipped all over America. TV networks are giving this zero coverage, not just short shrift, according to a study by the Media Research Center. Meanwhile, Democrats are still obsessed with the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, calling it an “insurrection” against “our democracy.”

Another crisis is 7% inflation and a 10% increase in producer prices. This is eating away at family budgets and retirees’ savings like Pac-Man gobbling up dots on the old video game.

Yet another crisis is the explosion in crime, particularly murders and other violent offenses, in major cities run by Democrats who have defunded police.
In the name of “democracy,” Democrats want to get rid of our current system of government.

The bicoastal secular progressive urban elites who largely populate the democrat party are waging war against our constitutional republic and our freedom. They are not prepared to tolerate dissent or an opposing view. All of their policies are designed to damage flyover heartland American culture and civilization. That the democrats are so demanding that they be allowed to impose their agenda upon us that they are willing to scrap the Supreme Court as we know it, the senate, and the electoral college.

The secular progressive left would happily exchange our constitutional republic and constitution for tyranny if that’s what it took for them to impose their agenda upon the rest of us over our objections.

That angry mob who barged into the US capitol had no reason to do what they did, but ironically if the Electoral College did not exist, they would have.

(under the current system, the states are responsible for conducting their own individual elections for US President, in a winner-take-all system, and then they send their delegate off to the Electoral College. This leaves no room for dispute who the actual legitimate President is)

These people want to throw out the Electoral College as part of their total reworking of the Constitution, which of course would leave the federal level of government in charge of carrying out elections. Yes, what could possibly go wrong with that? (sarcasm) Seems like a guaranteed recipe for a civil war, if those election results are disputed.

Remind me again which party was it whose chosen leader riled up a violent mob in an attempt to violently overthrow the election process in an ill fated attempt to hang on to power that the American people had clearly denied it?

I must be one of them thar bicoastal liberal elites that y'all are always harping on about. Of course I am and think nothing like you pretend I am and think. If you knew anything, you'd know bicoastal isn't really a thing. There is the West and there is the Eastern Seaboard. They are rivals. There is the East Coast way of doing things and the West Coast way of doing things. They might as well be from different countries.

Ah, I see, a diversionary attempt. (So typical... )

It was probably due in large part to a lack of actual understanding of the Constitution, and inability to comprehend how the President is actually elected.
(Something I feel even most of the people on this political forum probably do not understand)

As you know, your argument is full of beans and is not true.
(Want to argue about it? Leave a link to another thread. Because we're not going to let you derail the thread here)

Many of them would. I think a lot of people are in complete denial and in total ignorance about what many others in their side think.

How is it possible to derail a thread that is so far off the rails as to be rather laughable in the usual way. I get it. Conservatives hate on the liberals in their heads, not real life liberals. It doesn't mean that I have to play along and pretend it has anything to do with reality. At some level I'm sure y'all think that y'all are in the right, but it repeatedly looks a lot like lunacy to me. After all, conservatives have repeatedly been telling me how I am and how I think, yet it is nothing like how I am or how I think. So obviously your complaint must be to the guy standing behind me. (Even though there is no one standing behind me.)

But then it may just be humans in general. Recently I have been following the reactions to a YouTube video of a technical nature seen by millions. It set off a gizerk reaction across the internet and around the world. It led me to the realization that just about everyone who teaches electronics/physics/technology on the internet, and their followers, are significantly less knowledgeable than they pretend to be. Just people out trying to make a buck, but not passing on information that is all that useful. One would learn significantly more by checking out textbooks from the library and working through the problems than watching fancy videos on line.

The Constitution was created with the ability to alter it from time to time. State legislatures used to choose Senators. An amendment was added and now Senators are elected by the people. Women used to be excluded from voting. Then an amendment was passed. Currently, the electoral college works in such a way that allows 40% of the population to control the other 60%. Clearly something is amiss. Doing away with the electoral college and replacing it with a national vote, by amendment, is entirely constitutional and does no harm to the rest of the constitution. The cries of the OP does not reflect reality.

The way of doing things is more different from coastal California to inland California than coastal east and west. Trump was and is very popular in inland California outside of Sacramento.
He did nothing to cause Jan 6 which was not planned and he urged people to be peaceful. The article is right.

So you want two wolves and a lamb voting on what's for dinner.

So the large population centers always dictate who the president is and the people that live in what you sorts of liberals contemptuously refer to as flyover country would have zero voice.

I think our founding fathers were much wiser than you are

You nailed it on every point. Democrats want to do away with all of the constitutional limits on raw majority power that slows their secular socialist agenda. Two wolves and a sheep is exactly right. I’m in the fly over part of California and we have less than zero voice as to what happens in this state. Democrats want to make it that way in the rest of the country. V

Which one? You'll recall that Biden himself was arrested in his youth. And yet, folks still elected him a president. Irony, huh.....

The Democrats... Oh and based on the evidence both of them suck. But let's be honest here the difference is between big blue cities and the rest of us.

I recently watched an internet video of a sizeable black woman waddling through a drugstore aisle taking what she wanted and stuffing it into a rolling suitcase. There was a teen male store clerk there pleading with her to cease but she was oblivious. This is the degree of de-civilization our culture has experienced in the last 50 years.

Their response to election losses last month is to double down on pushing the very policies that the people voted against

Too bad one party can import their voters in from other countries if there are not enough of them.

What do you mean by "electing a new people"?

Well that's derived from the famous poem that the German communist poet Bert Albrecht - he was a distant communist in east Germany, he wrote it in 1953 after the East German risings against the Soviet occupation, and he said that maybe the government should dissolve the people and elect a new one because the people weren't behaving properly according to what the communist party thought they ought to be doing. Now that's literally what the governments throughout the western world are now doing; they've set about dissolving the peoples and electing new ones by bringing in vast numbers of people from a very different community from the third world,
and so on and it's very closely tied up with neo-socialism because what it does is it creates problems which the government is then called in, or feels called in, to resolve.

We've been over this before this is not how the electoral college works.

You may not like how it works however, that is irrelevant.

What you like and what you want in your opinion is worth about the price of a cup of coffee at McDonald's..... Actually even less

They also got it when they created the Senate, it’s rules, the size of it, the electoral college, checks and balances between federal branches, and between the federal government, the states, and the people.
