    Somebody has been cheating.
Science retracts coral reef recovery paper more than a year after a report on allegations in its own pages
    [IMG]
    Danielle Dixson

Fifteen months after its news division published an investigation into work on coral reef recovery, Science has retracted a 2014 paper on the subject.

The article, “Chemically mediated behavior of recruiting corals and fishes: A tipping point that may limit reef recovery,” was written by a group at Georgia Institute of Technology led by Danielle Dixson, then a postdoc at the university. Science issued an expression of concern in February of this year, as we reported then.

According to the retraction notice, signed by Science editor in chief Holden Thorp, the University of Delaware, Lewes, where Dixson has been running her own lab, “no longer [has] confidence in the validity of the data”:

IOW, the truth finally caught up with the Big Lie. Fake Science and Fake News are a deadly combination.

Even the LW/MSM has reported concern about what it admits is a "replication crisis".

"Two years ago this month, news of the replication crisis reached the front page of the New York Times. “Psychology’s Fears Confirmed: Rechecked Studies Don’t Hold Up,” read the A1 headline on the morning of Aug. 28, 2015. The journal Science had just published a landmark effort to reproduce the findings of 100 recent peer-reviewed psychology experiments, and just 39 of those replications succeeded. This dispiriting result, the Times reported, “confirmed the worst fears of scientists who have long worried that the field needed a strong correction.”

Unfortunately, the lies over this are noted by climate realists who are more interested in evidence and truth than what warmist/alarmists do as they are highly supportive of the big lie made by scientists who are often on government payroll which is why they are going to ignore the good reports of an increasingly healthy reefs in various parts of the world.

Covid keeps people at home for a couple of years and the Reef benefits - almost like it was humans causing them issues

Neither humans nor COVID had anything to do with the GBR's problems or recovery.

Why can't you or others simply address the claims of posts 101, 102, 103 or 113 or that is too hard to do?

What do claims mean when we are all going by second or third hand information? I have never been to Australia to see for myself. Everyone can believe or disbelieve what they prefer.

Jack already answered your question in Post 113 which I already told you about in post 115 which you ignored with your reply.

This is what happens when you ignore helpful suggestion in getting credible answers.

I would NEVER put people like Jack Hays on ignore as he is very civil and tries to back up his position quite credibly here is what you ignored several times now from POST 113 straight from the Australian Government:

    Really?
Annual Summary Report of Coral Reef Condition 2021/22
    https://www.aims.gov.au › monitoring-great-barrier-reef

This report summarises the condition of coral reefs of the Great Barrier ... by the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), coral reefs in the GBR ...

    ===

I think you are trying hard to ignore the good news.

Yeah, we need more global pandemics.

They have such wonderful side effects.

Not surprised that you have a deep pessimistic outlook in life and show hate for life in general.

Meanwhile as usual another warmist/alarmist here ignores the overwhelming good news from the 11-page report you didn't read because that isn't in their nature to do which is WHY real environmental problems are hardly being addressed because of their irrational focus on a non existing climate emergency paradigm which large corporation and corrupt governments love to see.

With too many leftists' disdains for improving the environment and their support of government corruption by voting and keeping in office second rate human beings it is no wonder the world is currently heading for another world war.

Why does the Great Barrier Reef get all the attention?

Belize has the world's second largest reef.

Get it Right, Washington Post, Climate Change Isn’t Causing a Decline in Coral Reefs
CLIMATE CHANGE IMPACTS NOVEMBER 21, 2022

The Washington Post (WP) published a story detailing how the efforts by a Malaysian “coral gardener,” Anuar Abdulla, to restore coral reefs near his home have resulted in him being consulted on coral restoration efforts globally. Unfortunately, rather than simply delivering well earned praise to Abdullah for his worthwhile efforts, the WP had to turn the story into another in its on-going “Climate Solutions” series, blaming coral decline on climate change. This is false. Some corals have declined in recent years, others have expanded, and new colonies have been discovered. Of those that have declined, there is little support for any link to climate change, and a great deal of evidence pointing to other factors being behind local coral declines. . . .
