That is the real problem with Trumpism overall, though, everything about it is insulting to everyone, not just leftists

Oh there most certainly is proof.

Trump couldn't read and comprehend citizenship law.. He got into Wharton because his old brother's best friend worked in the Registrar's office.

Trump is a showman and promoter, but he is NOT particularly bright or well informed.. and like all sociopaths and narcissists , his charm will wear thin pretty rapidly.

I agree with you.. He is insulting to conservatives as well. I think there's a big problem. He plays victim and victor in the same space.

I disagree, and the reason why can be summed up in a simple question: Are we Multicultural, for Multiculturalism's sake? At what point will the melting pot stop melting, and produce a finished product? There was a point in history where our multiculturalism stopped being an advantage, and that point was probably contentious.

Yes, the mid-70's is when that happened. Our 'multiculturalism' was not a happenstance. It was a slow, and gradual process. At first, the English-Americans inherited it. And then, a slow transition happened with Italian-Americans having to assimilate(the mafia). And then German-Americans(of which I'm a part.) Many of whom didn't know their German language due to persecution in America. Though as an American Nationalist, I agree that I was obligated as a citizen born here to learn English.

From there, Eastern Europeans started to migrate into the country. And here, we start to recognize the folly of 'White'. What we ascribe to be White, is nothing more than the European Immigrants who came over to the US through the 19th-20th centuries. And then from Asia, mainly our spiritual brother and closest ally Japan and the Japanese. That integration also took time and much unneeded resistance that eventually faded.

In a sense, resistance is like a litmus test. If you can withstand the resistance and stay true to your allegiance to the country, the Americans are typically accepting people. This is what we've found in our history. With the success of Japan, other Asian immigrants have come in smaller numbers to little fanfare. They're so highly productive and positive contributors to society.

Which is the hallmark of all immigration, true immigration. But this immigration had limits. And the limits of immigration were a good thing. Not so for the Left. And so in the mid-1970's, they argued that the quota preferring European Immigrants was wrong, and that the system should either change or altogether be removed. Suffice to say: A majority of Americans didn't like this. But just like the ACA, we got stuck with something we didn't want. They ended up changing the Immigration quota's.

Which brings us to today, where European immigration is almost NIL, and the vast majority of our immigration comes from Latin America. Now, I hold nothing against the Latin American people and likely, most Americans don't either. But with the lax immigration laws(and the claims of a so-called humanitarian crisis), the recent 'immigrants'(so-called dreamers), get in without the test. Without following the rules. And thus, to receive benefits that the American People(actual US citizens) justly deserve.

So for the most part, as a son of a US Born mother(who was the daughter of a German who became a pernament resident of the US). I have a great deal of interest in this area. And my views on the matter are actually far more in alignment with Marco Rubio than that of Donald Trump. I feel like there's a middle ground, rather than an extremism to be found in resolving our immigration crisis.

But it must be resolved. What was "2 million" during the resolution of 1984, is now theoretically 11 million(because of the very uncertainty, we can't be sure if the number is larger or smaller.). And Birthright Citizenship is now unfortunately abused, whereas it was meant to solidify one's citizenship, it is now a ticket to paradise for anyone who happens to 'give birth' to the US. It needs to be reformed for a quota of a number of years INSIDE the country. So it can never be abused again.

And as mentioned, it is not merely the native(US-Born citizen) who suffers from our malaise on immigration, but the legal immigrants themselves who by de-facto of being legal, are now sourced out by their illegal counterparts. So it behooves our economic and political interests to ensure that we punish illegal immigration, reward legal immigration and above all become a solidified nation.

And then there's the fact, if immigration is such a blessing, why not other nations? Why the US, specifically? At the heart of it, it basically admits that the US needs to import other talents, we need to be an importing nation for our goods and services. Because we can't produce those things for ourselves(the first time I thought this, was in the most non-political setting ever. I was a teen, comparing the quality of Japanese animation to U.S Cartoons.) A problem that still exists today, lol. I feel bad for our kids.

So, because the US would rather rely on others, we're basically a overqualified baby on crutches. I want to get off the crutches and be a real force in the world.

And yet, he became a billionaire, building a world wide business empire. Now he'll clean up the mess that Barry left.
Oh, and he is our president so please give respect.
Show proof of Barry's great constitutional mind. I believe it was all made up.

. . . . Such as redefining "responsibility" to apply only to oneself instead of "obligations to others"??? Does that promote the unity advocated by our founding fathers???

The election of Donald Trump confirms America's acceptance of its enslavement by "trickle-down".

It shouldn't take a "Genius" to figure it out.

. . . . Yet people are skeptical of the knowledge and intellectual capacity of Obama, who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard with a Juris Doctorate???

I'm not sure anyone really knows for sure what Trump is going to do. Its a safe bet he will not continue the "progressive" agenda. But will he pursue a true conservative agenda and drain the swamp, return power to the states, and put the people back in control? Or will he compromise and become a prog-lite RINO? Or will the powers-that-be stop him at every turn - those powers are fighting for their political lives, they do not want to give up power. Or is it out of everyones hands - have the "progressives" pushed the nation (and world) so close to the edge of the cliff that we are going over no matter what?

What a hoot! It was the use of the Alwater tapes that politically disenfranchised the States of this union, leaving them dependent on federal aid for Education(and other necessities), that simply weren't coming. So even though the Left insisted on Federalism, this Federalism was only felt in the Liberal States. So it's fitting that those are the only forts of Liberalism.

The irony that the Left didn't realize(until now) is that by weakening of the Individual States, they weakened the collective Union and thus led to Donald Trump. Realize the mistake yet?

what does that have to do with states rights, the states run their schools, they just can't be pushing religion on their students as that is unconstitutional

only reason republicans voted for Trump was to vote against Hilary... you act like the right wanted Trump... lol

Those schools are bankrupt, cities and States cannot afford them. And yet the Federal Government does not give the financial assistance necessary to the States of the Union! Because until now(and we don't know how the Trump/Betsy administration is going to respond), the (Liberal) Federal Government used the claim of States rights to deny financial funds to these States(if they weren't Liberal that is)

And of course, the hardcore conservative(The GOP as an entity) wasn't Pro-Trump. But those middle class voters(who suffer primarily also from decaying education) responded to what is a basic abandonment of the States by Liberal hypocrisy. The desire to destroy the States, led to Donald Trump.

We're talking a 2% difference(biggest difference ever in US History, but still 2%). We're more divided than what we were in the civil war. And I entirely blame Democrats for it. How you go from a super majority to a bitterly divided country cannot be blamed on just "obstructionism"(or maybe it can, and they can continue fooling themselves.)
