Prepare America, to kneel at the altar of privatization, in the church of free market competition, to pray to the god of deregulation.
and you're cool with that? Because unless you're rich, YOU are going to suffer along with the rest of us, my friend. Or did reaganomics, the S&L, mortgage banks and Wall St. scandals teach you nothing?
Gotta be a balance. Read The Jungle before you come to the conclusion that all government regulation is bad.
I never said that all gov't regulation is bad. I'm merely pointing out what is the agenda of the incoming administration based on the proposals and legislative actions of the GOP since the Reagan years.
Let's hope so, after 8 years of Obama misrule. Go Don, go.. "America is like a giant boiler. Once lit, there is no limit to the power it can generate"- Winston Churchill
What it sounds like is completely different from what it will feel like.....or have you forgotten how reaganomics under Reagan/Bush/Bush screwed this country?
Haha, I had to read that in about the 4th grade. Totally freaked me out; esp when people got ground up and sent out with the hamburger.
I think they secured our position as the preeminent power in the world, and the economics were awesome...Trickle Down economics is a great system and hopefully it is reintroduced.
In my case I worked hard to get mine and as far as everyone else, well they're more than welcome to roll up their sleeves and join on in! Otherwise they can find a maytag box and dine on dumpster cuisine.
I think I truly understand. The folks who are crying most are those most exposed to the actual market forces, without the protections of an artificial organization, like government left to protect them from competition they would likely lose to. Wake up snowflakes, and learn that you actually need to apply yourselves. A little effort goes a long way. Now, I know that's alien thinking for those accustomed to working in environments that don't actually ever expect results. But hey, life is better with challenges. Time to learn that.
Whenever anyone be it politician, talking head, random citizen, or whatever tells us to get rid of the regulations I always think of that book. Would it be so hard to, when you make the proclamation, also include a specific regulation or two ? Usually, whenever someone points out a stinker I agree with them, but you'll never get me on board with carte blanch regulation removal.
There is no way Trump will ever be a libertarian. This thread makes zero sense. If big businesses wanted unfettered free markets and low or no regulations, they would have backed one of the Pauls for POTUS for decades. Big corps love regulations and government intrusion cause it only hurts the small businesses that will eventually compete with the bigger businesses. That's why Target and Walmart backed the $15/hr min wage, they can afford it while mom and pop places cant. True good companies like Hobby lobby and Chic-fil-a already pay their employees more without the government telling them to.
Obama is going to start WW3 before he leaves office. There will not be another president. I guess if I am wrong, it won't be to long before we find out! After all, he's already said (this year), he is going to win the war on Christmas! Whatever that means.
Obama's going to Hawaii on Dec. 16. I doubt he's going to start a war during the two or three weeks he's in office before the inauguration. He's got PResidential library donors to shake down. 7
So despite the fact that trickle down actually did nothing but trickle (actually FLOW) up and screw the middle class...Republicans still support that failure?
You think they're NOT working hard? Newsflash...that's why Trump won...people are working their butts off and getting very little for that effort and they're PISSED. Unfortunately they believed the BS that Trump was spewing without realizing it was going to be the same old GOP economic fantasy
