So let's start a web site where we can claim that Republican X had an abortion last week. We can get thousands of people to say, "I heard that so-and-so had one, I'm not saying she did, but that's what I heard." Oh, this law is going to be fun.
Everyone should call saying that Republican politician X had an abortion or his wife did. 24/7. Thousands of calls every day.
why not? The claim is that a baby is being killed, on purpose and by design. And the mother is the mastermind of it all. This law shows the hypocrisy of those making that claim
I did not write the law, so asking me why not does not make any sense. If you want proof of my assertion, simply read the link I already provided. The mother does not have any liability in this civil law. https://www.npr.org/2021/09/01/1033202132/texas-abortion-ban-what-happens-next
Doing the right thing would have been for Democrats to continue honoring the Hyde Amendment and not working to change or ignore it. If you are going to violate the neutral zone then you shouldn't be upset if the other side decides to do the same thing.
And this is why our country is going to ****. “they did the wrong thing so I am going to do the wrong thing back”. We teach our children not to think this way but then brag about living that way as an adult
Thanks for confirming my post. As to only liberals having abortions: GOP politicians usually talk a good game on abortions and family values. However, when it comes to keeping it zipped, they are no better than anyone else. They are just lucky that doctors have to keep it private when they come in to have their mistress or their teenage kid abort.
I know that it is accurate, and as I said it just highlights the blatant hypocrisy of all those pushing that abortion kills a baby
Actually, you would think that it is based on the time of insemination, but no. They're counting six weeks from the time the woman had her last menstrual period! They're unleashing chaos, short and simple.
they say that a baby is being killed, they use the word murder, yet the woman paying for the murder to happen has no consequences at all, hell she does not even have any civil penalties. Clearly they really do not think it is murder
My guess would be because they want to stop abortions by stopping the provider, much like targeting drug dealers rather than users. That does not display hypocrisy. It displays pragmatism by going after the source rather than the little fish.
I have no idea, but why is that relevant? I know it is not the only whistleblower bounty. Perhaps some offer more. I fail to see why that matters in the given context.
Wow, I got dizzy reading that spin, hope you were sitting down when you wrote it. If a mother paid someone to killed her 1 year old baby, would she get a free pass?
No, but this is not a criminal statute, it is civil. Do you not understand the distinction? As far as the spin thing, that is silly. Correctly pointing out that they are going after the source is not spin in any manner. It is an explanation of reality. If reality makes you dizzy, then so be it. That is your problem.
I do. But we are told that the baby in the womb is no different than the baby outside of the womb. We are told it is murder to kill the baby in the womb. Then those same people make laws that are the opposite of those claims. They lack the balls to stand up for their convictions and are a bunch of worthless hypocrites.
Roe V Wade precludes them from making this a criminal offense. Labeling it a civil offense is apparently a means of circumventing that notion. That does not make this law hypocritical, rather that makes it pragmatic.
