    The Senate cannot remove anyone for "allegations" of a crime that is unprovable.

    When Roy Moore is voted into office, he will take his seat in the senate and become a thorn in the side of all of the Swamp Republicans who rejected him.

    Mitch needs 2/3 vote to expel Moore. I believe the minimum quorum necessary for a vote is 51. This being the case, many Republican senators can sit out the vote and let the Democrats and those Republicans against Moore to do their work for them.

    Even if the assumption is a full Senate, the 67 votes appear to be there already.......

    Remember it takes 67 votes. Not easy to do. There's a whole bunch of senators that do the same and worse, probably far more than 34 sex abusers in the senate who will be sympathetic and sympatico.

    You are reading it mostly correct, I think. 2/3 is needed to expel but that has nothing to do with a quorum. 67 is currently 2/3

    There is a HUGE difference between 20 and 14 and you already know this.

    it depends upon when the vote you be held.
    If before he were to be officially seated, it would be "reject".
    Were it to be after he were seated, it would be "remove".
