    Bradley Manning is getting his day in court. That's more than the Australian Aborigines got. They were massacred and enslaved by the evil white ozzies.

    Defending South Korea, etc etc, I see your only point in posting is to scream nonsense for the sake of making noise = you fail at point.

    The point is we wouldn't have 90% of the hate and problems we have and 9/11 would've probably never occured if the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing UN and the rest of the world stopped asking us to intervene in (*)(*)(*)(*)hole nations to solve injustices.

    And who are the imperialists now? The USAs defence budget is almost that of the rest of the world combined and has a couple of hundred military bases around the world. I'm afraid most of what was done in South America had little to do with the USSR. It also began well before the USSR existed, ref Monroe Doctrine and well, history. Basically, what it comes down to is that people who want to do something differently, only get to do so with the blessings of the USA. Or rather, life is made that much more difficult if they don't do what the USA says. The USA isn't alone, other western nations join the pillage of poorer nations, but the USA is in a unique position of utterly unrivaled power.

    But what am i forgetting? The USA is really a proxy for corporations, just as Iraq was a proxy for the USA (not that long ago). It's almost as if the USA isn't a country any more. Just a bunch of laws spreading further into other nations' sovereignty (see copyright law). There are fewer and fewer borders to a corporation. It's not unlike a new-age, disparate version of the East India Company. An old British corporation that, with the assistance of the British government/royalty enforced trade on it's terms.

    Here's a sentiment that sums up US foreign policy in south/central America:
    "We do control the destinies of Central America and we do for the simple reason that national interest absolutely dictates such a course. …Until now Central America has always understood that governments which we recognize and support stay in power, while those we do not recognize and support fail.
    -- U.S. Undersecretary of State Robert Olds, 1927

    It's the US proxies that Iran fears, and i guess the possibility of yet another US 'intervention'. Another Iranian scientist was blown to bits the other day. I think it's quite rational that Iran would want a nuclear weapons capability.

    Of course, should Iran use a nuclear weapon offensively against anyone - it would be suicide. That is the point of the deterrent in the stalemate that is nuclear war. It's not an offensive weapon in their eyes, as every nation that possesses them says (true or not).

    US threats are not diplomatic only. The USA has a history of extreme violence, and many nations at odds with them has a right to fear them. There's probably hundreds of threads and posts in this forum which point out literally dozens of acts that had they been performed by your 'enemies' would be utterly appalling and criminal. It is this double-standard that i fight. Here's an oldie, but a goodie: http://www.politicalforum.com/warfare-military/88292-america-terrorist-state.html

    There's several actual (cited) examples of US aggression and support, financing of terrorism and despots in that thread alone.

    US backed Israel maintains an occupation of Palestine, and an illegal blockade of the West Bank. It's the double-standards that i fight.

    ps. Check the stats on Israeli deaths by Palestinian assaults and the reverse, i think you will find it very much lopsided. To say Israeli response is proportional is embarrassing. The death toll, of course, sits with the mental anguish imposed by both sides, which any impartial observer would have to assess as once again grossly disproportional.

    Regarding the rhetoric, Iranian words and their modest support of various factions pales to the actions of the USA.

    This is not to say that Hamas and the Iranian leadership are all peaches and cream. I say these things to demonstrate the parallels and to try to encourage some much needed introspection.

    I'm afraid your opinion isn't worth much against the enormous documented (even by the USA government itself) evidence demonstrating US aggression, particularly in the Middle East and South/Central America. When you compare it to Iran, i think you'll find the comparison very one-sided.

    The UN is your baby. All attempts to reform it to make it more representative, more democratic are blocked by the Security Council. Blame your leaders (and the other 4 permanent members) for it's woes.

    Going into another country, or backing the coup leaders to depose a democratically elected leader so you can force free-market policies is NOT "solving injustice".

    I'm not sure what humanitarian situation the USA got 'dragged into' could have contributed to 9/11. Perhaps you can elaborate?

    Come on people. Iran is just another oil rich middle eastern country. Just like all the rest, we invade and who gets the money. Think. Its about power and money. Its always about power and money. Quit being manipulated into supporting the greedy bastards so that they can get richer and more powerful. Nobody cares if N. Korea has nukes and they are surely bat(*)(*)(*)(*) crazy. No money there. No power to grab. Come on people.

    what a joke, most of your wars ar based on your own misjudgement and true to the fact, that you guys think you are ahead of the rest.
    Just to prove you wrong, Iraq was the best example and for the world to understand of your true unpeaceful nature...

    Pax Americana is over. I understand it is difficult to tell when one historical era ends and transitions into a new era of history. That is what is happening now.

    Iran with the current regime will turn into another north Korea, no one should want that, Iranians certainly don't.

    Iran's current regime is not trust worthy of nuclear bomb, and the oil money should be taken away from it, until a democratic state rules that spend it for the welfare of the people.
    Iran is supporting terrorists and interferes into matters it shouldn't.

    No, Iran, with the current regime should not be left alone.
    The good news is the regime is falling apart due to intra-conflicts, foreign pressure and there is a possibility that people rise again against them.

    Once Iran:

    - stops talking in its strident, belligerent manner;

    - stops blaming the world's woes on America and Israel;

    - stops the procees by which it intends to make a hydrogen bomb;

    - removes its nut case leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

    Then then we all start to have peace

    Asuming he isn't tortured to death first because all his privileges as a human being have been removed?

    He has no privileges. It's unlikely he is being tortured. The only way he would be tortured is if he fell into my hands. His agony would become legendary. Death by a thousand cuts. My wife's ancestors were proficient in the practice. It prolongs the agony.

    The number of Aboriginal that were 'massacred' in Australia was very small in number and as a proportion of their population, certainly compared to many countries around the world.Most of the deaths that did occur, as was common to many indigenous people around the world, was their inabilty to withstand the infectious diseases brought in by the new settlers.

    If you don't consider waterboarding as torture, then he isn't being tortured, but I believe otherwise.
    He is a human being and is being treated like garbage, while the US wants to invade a country for what they claim to be 'human rights abuses'.

    There is no probative evidence proving that Manning is being water boarded. In the absence of such evidence we must presume that Manning is not being tortured. But if I got hold of him I wouldn't water board him. I'd cut him every day for a thousand days as they did in Tang Dynasty China.

    The Aborigines were noted for two inventions, firstly there`s the boomerang ( an Aboriginal word for "stick you can`t f`kn throw away"), and Chinese takeaway. In the early days they used to abduct Chinese gold miners (who weren`t free men, but were owned by tongs) and take them away to eat them. Since whitey hadn`t at that stage invented refrigeration for them, they used to hang the live Chinamen up by the hair & keep them alive so they wouldn`t spoil in the heat, until they were ready to eat them.

    They knew that if they broke their legs to prevent escape, gangreen etc would set in, and the meat would be bruised and rancid, just not nice. Trouble was, after eating a Chinaman, they`d be hungry again shortly afterwards. They didn`t eat white men unless desperately hungry, too tough & stringy, and the meat didn`t come off the bone nicely.

    No I won't get violent. You're like most people. You have an ego. I'll embarrass you on PF by watching your posts for mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, but egotistical people get embarrassed by them.
