The Whistleblower Complaint Is About Trump
    https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/the-whistleblower-complaint-is-about-trump

"The decision to withhold the information from Congress was made by acting DNI Joseph Maguire, who’s in that position after the dismissal of Dan Coats. But the Post suggests that it’s not actually Maguire’s choice. The Department of Justice told him to withhold the information from Congress."

We may have to get it the old fashioned way. The trick to this is spreading the knowledge of what it is thru the community.

A whistle blower complaint should never have been referred to Billy the Bagman in any regard. That is outside the statute.

Of course being "Trump's Roy Cohn"...everything goes through him that might damage the Orange Criminal.

This entire episode is nothing short of shocking

"The first ground the DNI asserted—that the complaint concerns conduct by someone outside the intelligence community—does not seem to justify withholding the complaint, so long as the complaint is related to “the funding, administration, or operation of an intelligence activity within the responsibility and authority” of the DNI."
    https://www.lawfareblog.com/unpacking-intelligence-community-whistleblower-complaint

This is about a conversation between Trump and a world leader so troubling that a career intelligence officer put his career on the line to expose it.

Bear in mind, that the only reason that this saw even a glimmer of the light of day is that Dems took control of the House in the 2018 election.

Had the GOP held the House, Dirty Devon Nunes would still be the Chair of the Intel Committee and he would have quashed this

Given the recent developments in the story you'd be better off trying to slink away unnoticed.

Absolutely right. NO MATTER THE SEVERITY OF THIS MATTER we have at least one more example of impeachable behavior. Namely, the withholding of information from Congress it is legally entitled to. This follows a pattern of illegal stonewalling that is unprecedented in the history of the country and should be a part of any forthcoming impeachment proceeding (if there is any.....Nancy).
Secondly, while we don't know all the details, we do know the prez made some sort of "promise" to a foreign leader so egregious as to cause a member of the intel agencies to contact the IG for the intel community. The IG agreed it was a matter of grave concern.
Trumpette's will dismiss this the way they dismiss every violation of norms, protocol, and law by this admin. They will shrug their shoulders and say, "so what?"
It's time for those of us who are not members of The Following to not give a damn about what they say. Their opinions no longer have any value any more than Putin's denials of his interference in our election do. Putin serves Russia's interests. Don and The Following serve Don's interests. None of them are concerned with the interests of the United States.

The "recent development" being Schiff trying to slink away from his "ample and direct evidence of Russian collusion" hoax. :roflol: The ODNI has an internal watchdog, just as the DOJ has. If the DNI watchdog finds credible evidence of impropriety, congress gang of 8 will be consulted. This "complaint" was made while Dan Coats was in charge, and that detail alone pretty well establishes that the "complaint" is a total sham.
Better luck next time slugger ... ::(:

If the complaint is a "total sham" perhaps you'd like to explain why the IG found it to be both credible and urgent?

He did? So what's the IG done about this "complaint" in the year since it's submission? You know Adam Schiff is stonewalling his committees minority who are demanding the IG testify before the House. Albeit on an unrelated matter, it would give Schiff every opportunity to inquire as to the nature, and status of this "urgent" complaint ... that languished for a year under Trump hating Dan Coats. Total sham.

Okay, I see, you know nothing about the subject. It was the IG who alerted Schiff to the existence of the complaint. The complaint was filed on Aug. 12th and the IG made Schiff aware of it in early Sept. The IG is scheduled to testify today to the Intel Committee in a closed door session.
It is both sad and dangerous for the country that you Trumpette's NEVER HAVE YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Someone is not aware that the President has broad authority to classify or declassify intelligence.

The facts are that the ICIG and the IG are seperate entities, and that ICIG Atkinson is who Schiff should have subpoenaed. IC Trump haters have accused Trump of silencing whistleblowers since 2017 when ICIG director Dan Meyer was axed. There's a power struggle that's been brewing between the ICIG, CIA, and DHS IG for 2 yrs. This "urgent" ICIG complaint was filed just days after a DHS IG report on the ICIG & CIA was declassified. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/rar...g-in-the-ci-as-watchdog-office-090046808.html

I love how you aren't ashamed of being wrong over and over. The IG for the IC is Atkinson. There is no other IG for the IC. It is not the IG's obligation to supply Congress with the whistleblower complaint. That obligation falls to the DNI.........which is why Schiff issued the subpoena for him.

If this involves a conversation between the President and another head of state, when did that become illegal or unusual? Know what would be unusual and illegal? a third party listening to private Presidential phone conversation.

The conversation itself is obviously not illegal or unusual. The subject matter is what is at issue.
