Sorry he did not break the law. It's a bit more complicated than you make it out to be.

 

Because the writer of the peice is just ASSUMING what the nature of the complain is. It hasn't been made public, and hasn't even been released to the press yet. They are stating their OPINION of what the facts of the case are, and not actually citing the facts.

 

What part of the factual story do you dispute?

That any of it are facts at all. The writer is false claiming the nature and facts of the complaint that was file when they have no access to that complaint since he hasn't been made public.

 

Once the ICIG makes a determination the complaint is urgent and credible the DNI is obligated by law to inform the intel committees of the nature of the complaint. Full stop

The DNI does not have the legal authority or the discretion to overrule the IC IG.

It's worth pointing out no matter what the subject matter of Don's conversation with a foreign leader was........just as with Mueller's determination the legal definition of conspiracy on the Trump campaign's part was not met (though he found ample evidence of obstruction)..........blocking Congress' legal right to the whistleblower's complaint, or obstructing a congressional investigation, is resulting in a constitutional crisis.

There is a constitutional principle at stake here. Namely, the oversight rights and obligations of Congress.

Apparently, the IC IG has been told to stonewall Congress at the direction of the acting DNI, who was instructed to do so by Billy the Bagman. According to reporting today, the IC IG disagrees with the instructions he has been given.

Lee, thanks for the constant updates on this non story. I am sure by the time you find out this is a nothingburger you will be on to your next manufactured crisis. Unnamed sources, whistleblowers, anonymous insiders? You gotta come up with more than that.
