I linked to data from scientific websites that you're currently trying to dispute with non-credentialed opinion. One written by Christopher Booker, a journalist with no scientific background and the other written by a man using a fake name who claims to only have a BS in electrical engineering and biology. In other words not a scientist. And if that weren't enough he's a birther too. He believes Obama faked his birth certificate and was actually born in Kenya. Real winner of a source you picked there.

Science really hasn't proven anything about climate change, that's the problem.

All of it is basically predictions based off of models, almost all of which have been proven dramatically false.

I want a cleaner planet, but it needs to be done in ways that don't destroy our economy.

If we do, China and India will overtake us and set the rules.

Then you global warming guys are really in trouble.

 

Models are actually tremendously accurate. It's pretty rare when they are wrong and when they are we go back and take a look at them and fix them until they are right. We know enough about climate and CO2 to know that pumping this much CO2 into the atmosphere is probably one of the worst environmental disasters of human history. And if you truly do want a cleaner environment then you should support doing everything we can to limit that. China and India are not going to start beating us economically any time soon. It'll be extremely difficult for any country that's not a melting pot of cultures to take over the global market. That's pretty much the main reason we do so well globally. China and India will never beat us in the global game anytime soon.

No, but it's easier for people to talk down on people, but are often too unwilling to make the change themselves. Why get mad at just the companies if the consumers keep buying gas guzzling cars? She's putting absolutely no blame on the consumers who purchase vehicles that help to destroy our environment.

Is that actually your position? That people should give up their cars? Stop flying airplanes? So far I haven't met anyone who actually has that opinion. Cars and airplanes are important to our economy. We can't give them up. The best thing to do is to invest in the technology that would make cars and planes more carbon neutral.
