Slogans are indeed usually oversimplified which is why, while they can be of some use at attracting attention to an issue or campaign (though not necessarily in a good way), need something with more substance behind them if they're going to have any real meaning. This slogan is fine (ish) as a starting point but not as the definitive conclusion you presented it as.

It’s not a waste of time because transphobia tends to decrease as awareness around gender increases. Posting factual and non-discriminatory information related to transgender is never a waste of time.

It appears that you started this thread to basically invalidate those who identify as transgender. This can only be considered a harmful action as it’s obvious you didn’t start the thread to have a discussion related to acceptance, therefore you started it to further the denigration of transgender human beings. Realistically, you can’t claim you did not and you likely also started this thread knowing that the harm caused by invalidating someone’s identity often leads to further hate, intolerance, and discrimination.

 

So, you 'straight up' contradicted yourself. Ain’t that a hoot . That’s exactly what the OP is all about. It is about the CONTRADICTION of claiming that genitals don't matter but then celebrating the reassigning/removing of the gentiles as a cherry on the top of transitioning.

When a person talks about ‘gender affirmation’ they are referring to the process an individual goes through when they begin to live as their ‘authentic’ gender rather than the one that was presumed at birth’ This process of ‘gender affirmation’ includes social, medical, and legal affirmation — all or any.

Social affirmation can include coming out, wearing gender specific clothes, using names and pronouns that match ones ‘authentic’ gender.
Medical affirmation can include surgery and/or hormone therapy.
Legal affirmation can include name and gender change on documents.

So the sign used to start this thread to prove some point is basically wrong and obviously the holder of the sign has no clue what ‘affirm’ relates to. Removing one’s genitals if that is the choice helps affirm with the individual their own personal choice of gender. It’s not about changing sex and as already stated genitals define biological sex not
