No skin off their necks, total win for them. They put them up in sanctuary cities across the US and make the taxpayers pay the tab in exchange for their votes.

Are you referring to a specific instance wherein the feds didn't prosecute? If so, link please.

If not, then Trump is definitely enforcing the law.

Are you wanting that one company to pay the fines for all the illegals employed in the US?

They got fined $95 Million dollars just for their own illegal alien employees. You know that right?

Most likely because Leftist groups are going down there and organizing them to come here. Unless there is something major like a war or coup or some other type of economic catastrophe, these people wouldn't unilaterally get together with their neighbors and say let's walk a couple thousand miles to the US to have a better life.

How many local officials aren't enforcing the law by protecting them from the Feds? Maybe if Lefties cooperated for once instead of resisting everything Trump tries to do then there would be more actions taken.

    He’s doing ok

Why dont you tell the swamp rats in washington to fund the wall so we can shift the focus to other aspects of the illegal alien problem?

    Its a pretty good start

There is no single magic bullet that will solve the illegal alien problem for us

There are many issues on many levels that require attention

Implying that trump is responsible for the migrant caravan invasion instead of the DNC, La Raza, the ACLU, george soroas and ms13

Obviously the best and brightest on the left just outsmarted themselves this time

Which make America with it's revolution unique in the world. Much of this success is due to Washington who many wanted to be king after the revolution but he refused and set the path for a successful democratic republic to follow. Bolivar considered him a role model but unfortunately things didn't go as planned in South America and the result is what we see today down there.

I gave you a book to read to expand your horizons you gave me a link. Now I see how and where you get your opinions from. You seem to think South Americas history started when the US got there and that in and of itself makes you too uninformed on the subject to have an opinion worth listening to.

There is a really good story about Washington and his glasses which surrounds that but I will leave it as small challenge to your research skills if you have not already heard it. It's both a touching moment associated with a great man and one of the more profound turning points in history IMO..

You sound like you have probably read Cincinnatus, George Washington and the Enlightenment but let me recommend it if you have not

Bolivar's problem, to my knowledge, was that he was a butcher, his losses were simply unacceptable. Of course the same was said of Grant

No. My joke had nothing to do with immigration law.

Only a small handful of "asylum seekers" actually qualify.

Never read that particular book. I get most of my books from Book Bub on a bargain list they send me daily where I get great books for a couple of bucks but I found your book used hardback for $4.00. Looks well worth it.

Edit: I looked up the glasses story. I had read it before but forgot. Thanks for refreshing my memory

You saying that foreign policy, both overt and covert, whether it is south of our border or in the middle east might be at least a part of the cause, in this cause/effect universe?

Yes, you are probably right. Our actions and policy can come with negative consequences, and this has been proven over the years.

But then, some of our foreign policy looks to be a tale told by an idiot, and only makes sense if you consider WHO benefits from it. It is seldom the average american, BTW. But if we don't have an interference foreign policy, both the dems and the repubs will accuse us of being isolationists, and that is just how nutty it has become. ha ha ha

Of course this current influx of caravans may have little to do with foreign policy, but is just poor people who believe the US owes refuge, welfare or jobs to all of the poor of the world, because of the words on the Statue of Liberty...your poor, your huddled masses.

Much of the world ended up victims to some extent of the cold war which was fought in war by proxy between the Soviet Union and the US. Difference is we were fighting a defensive war and really had no choice other than to let the Soviets gobble up the entire world. If people want to blame someone for results of that they should blame the aggressor not us.

This is more than Obama did in his second term, but still not nearly enough.

"Information released by ICE on activity from October 1, 2017, through May 4, 2018, show that Homeland Security Investigations during this period have increased to 3,510 work environment cases. Additionally, 2,282 I-9 audits have started. These results are already double the amount of ongoing worksite cases this fiscal year compared to the last fully completed fiscal year.

Arrest numbers are even more remarkable. ICE has made 594 criminal and 610 administrative worksite related arrests, a five-fold increase compared to the number of arrests in the previously completed fiscal year."

There are more than ten million illegals with many millions working here in plain sight.

I'm not letting anyone off the hook for the milions of illegals. But the responsibility for enforcing federal law falls to the federal government. It's not reasonable for the feds to pass laws and expect state and local government pay to enforce them. Taxpayers in border states like California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas would have to spend many millions to do what should be done by all Americans.
