The Obama and liberal mantra is getting awfully thin, redundant, and downright nauseating! I believe even some of his Ds and independents are getting sick of him. What will get him beat is apathy from his own people who won't vote.

The stink of desperation is getting stronger and stronger from the Obama faithful.

Their guy is slipping in the polls, he's about to have a convention where he has nothing to brag about, and a Mormon with magical underwear is about to take the white house away from him.

    Yikes.
Really, this is all it comes down to now?

    Sad.

    I'm not a liberal OR a conservative.

I'm just an educated fellow with a boatload of common sense.

Anybody who chooses to vote for Obama's reelection, given his record of abject failure, is off his or her f#%king rocker.

I hear this sentiment a lot and that's why liberals are panicking right now. Their messiah is going down in a landslide and they will no longer be able to justify any of their positions.

I'm a conservative, highly educated, and loaded with common sense myself, and I agree with sparky. Besides, as I'm known to say, "Better A Morman Than A Muslim!"

None of the above except Obamacare which would bankrupt the country more. He only killed Bin Laden after repeated requests to do so were denied.

    Barry's record is horrible!

Let me make this simple for the brain-washed FOX worshipers:

4 years ago our country was on the eve of the WORST recession since the Great Depression.

4 years ago Ossama bin laden was making plans to kill Americans

4 years ago Americans with pre-existing conditions were being denied Health Insurance

4 years ago the Auto Industry was on the brink of bankruptcy

4 years ago American soldiers were dying in Iraq

30 years ago unlike today and during the Bush era, you didn't have ridiculous qualifications to get a job. There was no need to speak Spanish as a second language for example or to sign consents for 8 background checks. The process was alot easier and more jobs were out there.

The same way 30 years ago, the Soviet Union was a threat at one point and until we managed to mend our differences with them which spurred off the tearing down of the Berlin Wall and dissolving of the Soviet Union which ended up becoming a more capitalist, less threatening Russia. Unlike what is going on in countries like North Korea, Russia and China now a days. We're horrible at solving international crisis situations whether it be Obama OR Bush. Killing Saddam or Osama doesn't mean much when half of the world hates us anyways and wants to wipe us out.

30 years ago you got to choose your own insurance and there was no problems with the quality of care diminishing for everyone due to the overpopulation of people who would rather not work and reap the benefits of collecting welfare and having health insurance. We can potentially live in a society where one person who works all his life and gets cancer could die simply because someone who is younger and contributes nothing at all to society can be treated FIRST for a non threatening condition based solely on their age.

30 years ago this wasn't so. Just like in the Bush days though we still make crappy American cars as compared to Japanese and Korean cars. This STILL needs to be fixed as well as moving to alternative energies other than Oil which Obama promised and still has not delivered on. The same way Bush never moved us towards alternative energies.

During every presidency stupid wars went on. Yes the Iraq war was stupid but an Iran war is even stupider. If you think Obama just like Romney isn't looking to go after Iran in a suicide mission which will result in loads of deaths you're kidding yourself. The only candidate who thought going to war with Iran was insane was Ron Paul.

    still in it.

still would be if President Jarret hadn't approved killing him.

now they can't get a job to pay for health insurance.

went bankrupt anyways and destroyed the bond market.

still 50k troops in Iraq indefinitely.

Do you have enough common sense to believe in fairies as well?

Careful what you say now. We don't want any fairies dying now.

I find it amusing how most people find Islam such a threat yet most of the wars over time have been started by ALL religions. You can't say something like Scientology or Mormon beliefs which are very much cult-like are any less dangerous than Islam. I mean I'm a Christian and even I know that depending on how much of a nutjob someone is, fundamentalist Christianity interpreted by Jim Jones or David Koresh, can be just as dangerous as a twisted nut who misinterprets Islam or another religion in a whacked out way.

This one's a gem. The problem is too much edjewkayshun. Dose Democrats eh?

Must be tough for people in America without qualifications. Especially as American qualifications are seriously substandard when compared to those of other developed countres. I mean those who can't even get an American qualification must be rattling around in their trailer parks waiting for the great Republican job creator to come and save them.

Vote Romney. I live and work in China and so I would love to see more American factories closed and the jobs exported over here. A collpased automotive industry would be great for Asian automotive companies and I am sure that Toyota and Nissan and Honda could pick up the pieces of the whole supply chain collapsing under the strain of knock on bad debts. As for the Banks. Let 'em all go bankrupt and we can have the renminbi as the world's currency. Whoop it all up for Romney. I know Bain Capital are well positioned over here to take full advantage of the impedning collapse of the US economy.

But what we really know is that Bush, Obama and Romney will just do exactly the same thing. Just as Obama carried on with Bush's policies, so will Romney. The alternative is chaos and clever people with QUALIFICATIONS actually can follow this. I know: elitists from elite universities (America's best universities are world leaders) on the East Coast. Even Ryan voted for the bailouts. You think he's sorry? Sorry that he is now in kowtow to a lot of economically illiterate braindead morons wivout any QUALIFICATIONS or education.

There is only one reason to vote for the inept Obama. He can be trusted not to screw up too much. Romney...who knows...he couldn't even get a visit to london right without totally alienating the Conservative Prime minister of Britain and the Conservative Mayor of London. The slow recovery will continue, weighed down by European recession in a world economy, something which the POTUS of any shade can do nothing about. The GOP may mess around with Social Security in the same ineffective way that Obama messed around with Romneycare...oops Healthcare. It will make no difference to the economy. Romney will PROBABLY just carry on like Obama and Bush, but he looks to me like he could be a weak willed, manipulatable opportunist who could give into peer pressure and do something stupid. Ironically I think Ryan is a better bet, because although extremist, he looks smart and grounded. He'll say the right things for the Base but do the right things for the country/world.

    America watching. Interesting as usual.

Uhm Meaning that if someone is coming to this country from South America they should learn to speak English to communicate with us rather than me having to learn Spanish just so I could get a job to prove I can accomodate THEM. How fair is that? Why should I have to learn a foreign language because someone is too lazy to learn the language of my native country? My sister in law is from Peru. She chose to learn the language of this country and communicate English back and forth with her children. I have much more respect for that rather than someone who could care less and just speaks in their native language, grips on to the ways of their native lands, and having no ambitions at all to learn the language and customs of this country. So I'm supposed to learn Spanish so I can get a job because a couple of people are lazy turds who refuse to speak English? Also I mentioned background checks yes. I think one is enough. I don't think having your fingerprints done, having people know all your addresses you've lived for 12 years, how happy and sad you are in day to day life, just to become an office clerk is necessary. Most of the job qualifications don't even have to do with education either. I have filled out applications where it asks you what your race is. What the hell does that have to do with being qualified to do a specific job?

Secondly, I don't plan to vote for either Obama or Romney. I can agree. Both candidates suck. I didn't choose them. Blame the Americal Electoral College. Blame American Big Business and the media for taking every precaution they can to script the election to where the people THEY want can get into office and not who the people want. Many of us wanted Ron Paul not Mitt Romney. Sadly it didn't matter what WE wanted. Also blame the fact that we have a two party system that doesn't allow other parties to ever compete seriously in electorial debates and presidential elections. If its not "Democrat" or "Republican" regardless of the quality of the candidate, they are automatically shut out of the election in many different ways.

I'm sorry. How many languages do you speak? You not being a lazy turd of course I expect it's a lot and you were just unlucky that one of them wasn't Spanish.. It's a while since I hired people in America but I don't remember the job requirement to speak Spanish. It must have all changed. I've worked or done business in California, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Mississippi, Tenessee, Indiana, Illinois, Massachusetts and I never noticed an inability to speak English anywhere. Must be because I have "big business" job I suppose. Or is it just that you are indulging in racist myth making.

I am sure if you had some decent qualifications, excluding Spanish, you could get a job. You not being a lazy turd, getting a qualification so you don't have to flip burgers won't be a problem now.

That's the key buddy, not hating foreigners.

Or being a victim of "Big Business".

Victim mentality sucks. I'm sure even Ron Paul will agree with that. Employers don't like it. We don't give jobs to moaners.

    Hasta La Vista.

For YOUR company. Not a crapload of other companies. Yeah they require you to speak Spanish. Maybe you need to investigate the US job market more carefully. Particularly Civil Service where every position there has a parenthesis and says "MUST SPEAK SPANISH" next to it. Most of these are just general Clerk positions also. For the record I have a college degree. It didn't do ANYTHING for me. It was a waste of time and money. Wanna know why? Because most jobs require EXPERIENCE. How are you supposed to GET experience if they won't hire you in the first place because you don't have any?

I worked for the Democrats for 2.5 years in the commercial garbage department of my local town. Don't tell me I have no idea how things work. I used to have to chase after little old ladies and fine them $500.00 for overgrown grass, I had to boot people out of their homes who could barely make ends meet, and you know what, I absolutely hated it. But I had to do it because it was my job which I eventually quit.

I would think an associates degree of arts and sciences with a 3.5 average and working as an Enviornmental Steward II under a Deputy Commissioner would qualify me for a Clerk Position. So don't give me that crap about qualifications.

Plus if someone like you won't hire me its not a big loss. I can afford to be picky because thanks to businesses like yours making it hard for people like me to get hired, I'm on disability collecting all your tax dollars so I could survive which is essentially costing you MORE money. You claim you have all these businesses in the US so surely you realize the pickier you are and the less of a chance you give people like me, the worker, the more we collect unemployment, disability, welfare, etc. which in turn gives YOU less of a profit by raising YOUR taxes. Thing is, I want to work. Many people wouldn't care and just take the free ride the government gives them. But not me.

Maybe your company should be one of which that gives people the opportunities and trains them rather than casts them aside and regarding them as whiners. In the end maybe you'd actually turn more of a profit and give it to me directly rather than give it to my government which ends up in my hands anyways. Either way you're paying my food and rent. By giving someone like me a job at least you're getting something out of it.

Actually buddy I'm sorry I was rude as it seems you really are having a tough time. I don't have any business in the USA right now but I do sympathize with your "need experience" to get a job and I think that requirements to speak Spanish for mainstream jobs are not just ridiculous but the kind of thing that builds resentment towards immigrants. It would be better to provide English classes wouldn't it?

All I can say is: don't commit fraud by lying that you are disabled. Or if that is the only way you can make ends meet do some classes and get some qualifications. America is a tough place if you're poor. The State doesn't help you as much as in Europe. But if you realize that the only person who can change your situation is you and that you just have to go for it, then America is the place you can be rewarded for it. It might seem like the whole world is against you, but take control, get a plan, go to night school, get some skills and someone will give you a break. You being on welfare doesn't hurt me. American companies or the subsidiaries of foreign companies pay taxes on profits whatever the tax rate and it doesn't figure too much in the decision where to locate. The only person getting hurt here is you. Remember that great American expression: the harder I work, the luckier I get.

    Good luck!

Well I literally do have a mental disability so I'm not committing fraud. However, if I was to make progress, I wouldn't need any money from the US government, I could support myself and need little to no SSI and SSD to do it. For that I only need to work. I'm perfectly able to take care of myself. I just need stable employment which is enough to take care of myself. Then I can live off services and pay my own way until finally becoming completely self sufficient without any state aid. This is ultimately my goal.

I don't think anyone realizes that the more the government keeps people poor and on services by not focusing on the important things like employment by creating more programs to get people like me working rather than more programs to provide silly support services that are imposed on me like state babysitters who come in and make sure my apartment is clean and nurses who come in telling me things I already know which clearly I don't need. Its a waste in my opinion of state money.

Again I could sit here and just decline and end up in a group home which would essentially cost the state even more money. Such a thing would be horrible and I couldn't imagine it happening. So I want to take some steps forward until I could reach my goal of being independent and self sufficient. For that I only need to be given a shot to better myself. The question is which president and government can ensure that something like that can happen.

Buddy, you should learn that in America, mainly due to conservatives but not necessarily wrongly, governments are not responsible for creating jobs. You are asking for something like socialism - that the government create work programs. It's not going to happen on a big scale from either party. I am sure though that somewhere in community you can get advice as to how to realize your dreams. There will be help. But you are going to have to go and look for it. Are their employment centres in your community where you can ask for advice as to vacancies etc.?

If you are hoping government will provide some sort of program, then your best chance is to vote Democrat, but I can't see it in this economy. The GOP position is that what you are asking is not for government to do. Even Democrats will be cutting back on that sort of thing. Amidst all this partisan rhetoric, times are hard and social programs like the ones you describe are getting cut.

You have a college degree. Take some classes in accountancy. Then you can get a job in a private company which does not require Spanish in their Finance department. Employers understand that people have tough times. They are looking for positive attitude and that you are helping yourself. Show that and eventually you'll get hired. That's my advice.

Right but democratic governments don't work with businesses to help them in ways to be able to hire more staff. They'll create more government jobs yes but they won't help private companies to hire more people. Private companies themselves would have to have in house programs in order to do things like this. Not every company is going to have the budgets to do this. About the only jobs in this area that are around are retail positions and to be honest I think I'm better in an office position rather than dealing with customers. Not to mention I would only be making minimum wage.
