    Anyway, I believe it is the Saudis that don't allow tomatoes and cucumbers to be together on market shelves as they believe tomatoes are women and cucumbers are men.

    We wouldn't want cucumbers and tomatoes raping each other and making little cucmatoes and tomcumbers.


    Edit: In Saudi minds, is a salad really an orgy that only a depraved Westerner would eat? I guess a salad bar is kinda like a strip club in Saudi Arabia.

    There was a cult around when I was younger that proclaimed regular meat (except fish) "poisonous to the soul" - but ONLY on Friday!

    Now they focus mostly on giving EVERY sperm a chance to reproduce in a fertile woman's body whether or not she received the sperm willingly, or sending the offending person to Hell.

    Tomatoes come from South America, and were unknown in the Old World (like potatoes and maize) until Europeans bumbled onto the place.

    Tomatoes are obviously the hearts of sacrificed humans pushing back-up out of the ground, and if you eat tomatoes, then you are a canibal.

    To the OP. Is this equally bizare to some Christian leaders saying Christian should not watch Harry Potter as it will lead to Devil worship? I remember some Christian leaders say people should not let their children watch Teletubies as it will make them gay. Or Christians in my country who boycotted a well known food store for selling hot Cross buns that was halaal, saying it is an attack on their faith? Are all these equally bizare?

    And, does the fact that a small part of the Christian faith believed the things I mention above, make the whole faith bizare?
