Nominate the addle-brained, "record player" Biden, Bernie the commie, or the fake Indian, and you're likely to lose again (nobody can predict turnout, so I make no hard predictions about the ultimate winner).

I actually can live with Klobuchar, though I will keep voting Libertarian until someone else gets serious about the debt.

The mental state of Mr. Trump seems to be stable. The issue I see is his knowledge and Mindset/Personality as they border on Nihilism. He projects a lack of compassion and understanding of many important aspects of being a "Good" person and this becomes clearer as he speaks and acts...unfortunately he deals with international politics and they see it as well.

I left California decades ago, and it was still wonderful. So I have good memories.

You certainly are angry for someone who is so happy to live in LA. But probably plantation owners in the antebellum South, just before things went sideways, were as uneasy and oblivious of disasters to come.

Cohesive? I hope you didn't mean coherent. Someone cited one of Trump's word salads. How about this one:

"The teachers are ― I’m married to a teacher. My deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. We have ― make sure that every single child does, in fact, have 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds go to school. School. Not day care. School. We bring social workers in to homes and parents to help them deal with how to raise their children. It’s not want they don’t want to help. They don’t ― they don’t know quite what to do. Play the radio, make sure the television ― excuse me, make sure you have the record player on at night, the ― the ― make sure that kids hear words. A kid coming from a very poor school ― a very poor background will hear 4 million words fewer spoken by the time they get there. "

Note that that "answer" was in response to a question about slavery reparations. Looks to me like Trump's not the only one who could use some lessons In rhetoric.

I am not angry at all champ. I just don’t like people running down my home town from the cheap seats. Doing that (trashing LA and California) seems to be one of the major talking points coming out of the right wing crap factory these days. It’s sour grapes coming from a party and a mindset that has failed miserably for the past two decades here in our most populous and greatest state. As always, the future looks bright here in LA and we will continue to lead the way, set the trends and move America forward.

Don't need to listen to the news anchors or commentators. Just listen to Trump speak, read his Tweets. He is not well.

Biden's gaffes are real. Your other examples are just idle speculation - but not by the MSM.

MSM = Fake News. For example:

“The media is having a rough week when it comes to reporting on the federal government's multiple ongoing Russia investigations. Three stories in the past seven days have crumbled under greater scrutiny.”
AXIOS.COM, The media's Russia probe meltdown: 3 screw-ups in one week, By Shane Savitsky, 12/8/17.
    https://www.axios.com/the-medias-russia-probe-meltdown-3-screw-ups-in-one-week-2515978886.html

Is Axios one of those Clinton hating alt.right sources? ;-)

Is it your position that the homelessness issue in Cali is overstated, or a lie, or Trump's fault, or what?

It appears from the videos posted by the right wing crap factories that California governments are tolerating, rats, disease, defecation, and drug use in the streets, and I mean lots of it. Presumably urination, which wouldn't be tolerated in my home town either, is even more common and doesn't even qualify as an irritant.

You can't possibly be satisfied with state and local responses to all this, though I sympathize with your revulsion to criticism by outsiders, which I face every time I go north or to Europe.

    So is Biden also unwell?

The teachers are ― I’m married to a teacher. My deceased wife is a teacher. They have every problem coming to them. We have ― make sure that every single child does, in fact, have 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds go to school. School. Not day care. School.

Make sure that 3 year olds go to school? Seriously?

These comments by Trump demonstrate a shocking inability to put thoughts together coherently. He's broken.

He's not well. He's unable to intelligently identify problems and come to workable solutions to solve them. In any type of government leadership role that's not a minor character flaw.

As for politically incorrect - no that's not what he is. What he is is rude and insulting.

I believe all of the right wing trashing of LA, San Francisco and California is pure sour grapes coming from a party and a mindset that can not compete here anymore. This is an indication that soon their crappy, finger pointing hateful message will begin to fail throughout the country.

Obviously, we have major issues to deal with regarding homelessness, urban decay and other issues which exist in small pockets of all huge metropolitan centers in the country and the world. There are several non profit and governmental agencies working to solve these problems right now and as always the wheels are moving too slowly but I have seen much more urban renewal here in LA than decay in the past 3 decades.

Once crappy run down parts of town have been turned into vibrant neighborhoods with thriving business districts and clean safe streets. Sunset Blvd. around Silverlake, Echo Park and East Hollywood are back in shape. On the west side Venice, Mar Vista, Culver City and Inglewood have been revitalized. Downtown, Boyle Heights and East LA are getting better all the time. We are definitely heading in the right direction here.

    I LOVE LA.....

That kind of election cycle BS does not work anymore. The DP needs to hire better campaign advisors.
Steve Schmidt should be available. ;-)

I think that both Trump and Biden are old and losing it. We need younger, healthier candidates. Hopefully Trump will quit and we can have a choice between Ben Sasse and Kamela Harris or Tulsi Gabbard.

You said that already. I think it's what's called a genetic fallacy. And it doesn't do anything to undercut what looks like a serious public health problem.

I am happy to hear of your progress. My own daughter visited L.A. recently and had a wonderful time, though I imagine she kept to the "shee shee" side.

That said, I don't think you could film a montage of homeless squalor in any state that rivals what we see up and down the west coast. I know, I know, other states have homelessness and all that goes with it. That point is conceded. t doesn't seem to be anywhere on the same scale. And I guess what bothers me most is that we go from zero to Defcon 5 when Trump says something insensitive, but fleas and rats and .... plague??? ... in the streets of San Fran and L.A. are greeted to often with "understanding."

I would honestly like to read or see evidence of these cleanup nitiatives you describe. And while we are on the subject, where are the people who were in those areas that have now been, presumably, evicted?

There are honestly times when I would prefer a benevolent dictator to a president who has ro placate Congress, local governments, the courts, and the media, all at the same time. Viewing the squalor in L.A. and thinking of how a dictator might prohibit it gives me a Chris Matthewsian thrill up my leg.

Come to think of it, if the homeless can defecate in the streets, can I? Why not? I pay more taxes than they do.

Where can they defecate on the streets? If you want to defecate on the street, try it because you obviously envy that
