Except my "smear" of Obama has always been about his performance as president, his horrible failures, domestically and internationally, his disastrous DOA Obamacare plan, his $10 trillion of additional national debt, the skyrocketing income inequality on his watch, the shrinking middle class, his failures in the Middle East, Ukraine, the South China sea.

And that is how Trump will be judged in 4 and quite likely in 8 years, based on his performance as president, not based on his tax returns which no one in the world besides a few experts can possibly understand in the first place.

Good, so let's wait and see how smart he is when his idiotic plan to move the US embassy to Jerusalem sparks even more conflict in the region. (*)(*)(*)(*)ing genius move, Donald.

Bill has not been a public servant for 16 years. Hillary for 4 years. As far as I am aware Hillary did not get large speaking fees while she was a public servant, but I may be wrong.

Do you have any evidence that either of them were paid in exchange for anything other than their time? Companies do regularly pay large speaking fees to high-profile people like the Clintons. And a lot of their wealth comes from books.

I just responded to that thread :) Mark my word, once the Arabs realize that they are losing ground, they'll drop their millions idiotic preconditions and start negotiating with Israel in earnest.

You might be right but these threads would much more enlightening if we'd stop questioning everyone's motives and instead focus on the merits of the arguments. Pointing out every single persons hypocrisy and or bias is just lazy.

Where did their quarter billion fortune come from? Hillary's $300,000/hr speaking fees paid by Goldman Sacks and others are well documented and if you want to pretend that it's anything other than legalized bribe, be my guest and also consider my Brooklyn Bridge offer.

And what happens the first time he signs legislation that benefits his companies directly?

It's hard to hear you with your head in the sand. I'm not naive enough to believe an attention whore like trump is refusing to release his tax returns because he's afraid it will be misunderstood/distorted. I'd bet $100 to your dollar that there's damning information there.

I can't be bothered to confirm whether they have 250 million or where it came from. But if you want to say they got it dishonestly, by all means go ahead and show us. You can do that because she has disclosed a couple of decades worth of tax returns, so go ahead and be my guest.

Which brings us back to the very first point I made in #45 - Trump is opaque, whereas Hillary was not. Trump IS hiding something in his tax returns. His supporters are being wilfully blind about that.

It will become national law and benefit all companies. If the intent was to benefit companies he will have won that battle. There's nothing wrong with winning no matter what the new educators preach.

LOL! I just spit coffee all over my monitors. I've NEVER heard anyone claim trump was smart. If you're a 70 year old man still tweeting like a scorned 13 year old girl you then you are exactly what you claim he isn't: stupid.

Damning how? You think you are going to find something an IRS audit isn't?

This does bring us back to the point of this lawsuit... not that there is any violation, but a tool of discovery to try and force these records out of him. What these legal eagles seem to have forgotten, is that in order to bring a federal suit, you have to prove that you have been harmed by that which you wish to sue for. I expect this case will be rejected. I further expect they will then find people with competing businesses to try and start a lawsuit, with them as council.

Then how stupid are all the politicians and journalists that opposed Trump and lost? Consider this an IQ test. ;-)

I get a kick out of Trump supporters being willfully blind yet you can't be bothered to know about Hillary. That's a classic.

It's possible trump is hiding something.
Personally I think Trump is protecting something. The guy has something like 500 companies right? All those companies do business with other companies.
Doesn't take a genius to figure out the dems and MSM would do thier best to interrupt and boycott every one of those companies.
The party of derision, destruction and attack in this country would spend the next four years doing thier best to destroy anyone associated with Trump. Probably half the companies in this country.
We really don't need that quagmire. I understand the leftist elite would love to have it for many reasons but the country doesn't need it.

Damning does not imply a breach of law per se. Something like a billionaire that hasn't paid any tax in almost a decade would be damning even if completely legal.

How stupid are the American's that voted for him? How stupid is the "common man" expecting a born and raised billionaire to be their champion? There MUST be an abundance of stupidity in this country on all sides to explain the current freak show.

Why would that be damning if legal?

Do you write a check for more taxes than you are required by law to pay each year?

It's so easy to come up with ad hoc reasons for not doing what has been customary for decades.

No. But I also did not make use of any special case loopholes to "legally" pay less tax. If you don't see any way his returns could be harmful to him even if no laws were broken then there's nothing left to discuss.

I take it you don't have children, and don't exempt dependents... nor would you if you did... because that would be... gross or something.

Is English not your first language? Do you not understand what a "special case loophole" means? Do you not see how it differs from standard deductions, dependent deductions, etc? Those things are the exact opposite of a loophole and you don't need to be a CPA to understand it. You just need to speak English.
